摘要： A surgical retractor includes a retractor body and a retractor arm. The retractor arm includes a control assembly includes a base member having a first opening and a second opening, and movable between a first position and second position. The retractor arm further includes a regulating member to control rotation of the base member and move through the first opening of the base member, a connecting member cooperatively connected to the regulating member, and a barrel member in operative slidable engagement with the second opening formed in the base member. Rotation of the regulating member in a selected direction moves a stem of the regulating member through the first opening thereby forcing the barrel member to slide along the second opening and the base member to pivot relative to the retractor arm between a first position and second position, thereby rotating a connected retractor blade.

摘要： An improved method of installing a closet flange allows installation of plumbing fixtures with a reduced likelihood of leaks. The method involves telescopically fitting an inner or outer surface of a drainpipe to a surface of a cylindrical portion of a hub of a closet flange, where the hub has a base flange extending therefrom; and securing the base flange against the upper surface of a subfloor. A first layer of sealant is applied to an upper surface of the base flange; and a flooring membrane is secured to the upper surface of the base flange by the first layer of sealant. A second layer of sealant is applied to an upper surface of the flooring membrane; and the upper surface of the flooring membrane is clamped between the base flange and a clamping ring. The method may be performed using a two-part closet flange for connection to a drain pipe for a toilet. The two-part closet flange comprises a cylindrical hub adapted to telescopically connect to the drain pipe; an annular flange radially extending from the cylindrical hub; a clamping ring; and a means to clamp a flooring membrane between the clamping ring and the annular flange.

摘要： A solution of acid deficient uranyl nitrate has a formula of UO2(OH)y(NO3)2-y, where y ranges from 0.1 to 0.5. The solution is prepared by placing UxOz in aqueous nitric acid to produce a uranium solution, wherein x is 1 to 3 and z is 2 to 8; placing the uranium solution under a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure in a sealed reaction chamber; and heating the uranium solution to a desired temperature of between 150°C and 250°C by applying microwave energy to the uranium solution. The uranium solution is maintained at the desired temperature under a pressure of from 5 atmospheres to 40 atmospheres for a hold time of 15 minutes to 6 hours to produce the desired acid deficient uranyl nitrate.

Embodiments associate a pseudowire to one or more groups at each provider edge device across which the pseudowire traverses. When a pseudowire set-up request message traverses across various provider edge devices, each provider edge device typically adds one or more local group membership information elements into the pseudowire set-up request message. In that way the grouping assigned by each provider edge device that the pseudowire traverses is made available to all other provider edge devices traversed by the pseudowire. 摘要： Various embodiments of the present invention provide a surgical retractor having two blade-supporting arms, which are mounted to be laterally slide able towards and apart from each other by a toothed rack. Each arm supports a respective retractor blade. In some embodiments, the retractor blades are curved in the same direction as each other so that the first blade is concave in the first direction, and a second blade is also concave in the same direction. Alternatively or additionally, in some embodiments, a cushioned material or cushioned sleeve is present on the blades where the blades contact the anatomy. The cushioned material or sleeve may be made of a soft silicone. Further, the cushioned material or sleeve may be coated or molded onto the blade structure, or may be a removable sleeve that is manually slid onto or off of the blade structure. Also, alternatively or in addition in some embodiments, blade-mounted lighting may be provided. In some embodiments, the lighting may comprise a fiber optic light source that penetrates into and through the blade and terminates in an opening in the blade facing inward so that it shines light inwardly towards the direction of the other blade and/or towards the anatomy. One or both of the two opposed blades may have light sources shining generally inward.
