摘要： A technique for controlling air-fuel ratio in an internal combustion engine consuming more than one fuel type comprises: (a) determining a target air-fuel ratio as a function of engine operating conditions; (b) determining an actual air-fuel ratio from the engine operating conditions; (c) determining a first fuel quantity of a first fuel to introduce into a combustion chamber as a function of the engine operating conditions; (d) determining a second fuel quantity of a second fuel such that the actual air-fuel ratio equals the target air-fuel ratio to within a predetermined range of tolerance when the first fuel quantity and the second fuel quantity are introduced into the combustion chamber, the second fuel quantity being determined as a function of the engine operating conditions, the target air-fuel ratio, the actual air-fuel ratio and the first fuel quantity; and (e) introducing the first fuel quantity and the second fuel quantity into the combustion chamber.

摘要： A method and system is disclosed for delivering a cryogenically stored fuel in a gaseous state into the air intake system of a gaseous fuelled internal combustion engine. The method comprises measuring the pressure in the vapor space of the cryogenic storage vessel, comparing the measured pressure to a required fuel supply pressure and supplying fuel in gaseous state directly from the vapor space of the cryogenic storage vessel to the fuel delivery line that supplies fuel to the engine, when the pressure measured in the vapor space of the cryogenic storage vessel is equal to or higher than the required fuel supply pressure. The method further comprises activating a cryogenic pump to deliver fuel to the internal combustion engine from the liquid space of the cryogenic storage vessel when the measured pressure in the vapor space is lower than the required fuel supply pressure.

摘要： A fuel injection valve is provided for injecting a fuel into the combustion chamber or into the injection port of an internal combustion engine, the valve being actuated by an actuator assembly that comprises a small displacement actuator and a large displacement actuator. The method comprises commanding the small displacement actuator to move the valve member to a first open position corresponding to a first flow area and commanding the large displacement actuator to move the valve member to a second open position corresponding to a second flow area that is larger than the first flow area such that the ratio between the second flow area and the first flow area is at least 15:1. The fuel injection valve can also be operated to alternatively inject two different fuels, one of the fuels being a gaseous fuel and the other one being a liquid fuel.

摘要： A flexible-fuel internal combustion engine apparatus comprises a combustion chamber, an intake valve, a first fuel injector, a second fuel injector, and a computer. The intake valve is operable to admit an intake charge into the combustion chamber. The first fuel injector injects a gaseous fuel directly into the combustion chamber. The second fuel injector injects a liquid fuel into the intake charge upstream of the intake valve. The computer is operatively connected with the first fuel injector and the second fuel injector to actuate injection of fuel respectively therefrom. The computer is programmed to command a gaseous-to-liquid fuel ratio as a function of at least one operating parameter from a group comprising gaseous fuel pressure, gaseous fuel mass, engine speed, engine torque, inlet air temperature, inlet air humidity, knock detection, operating history, torque command, and emissions.

The spacer provides a separate passage for supplying a second fuel to a dual fuel injection valve of the engine wherein the passage for supplying a first fuel to the dual fuel injection valve is provided separately in the cylinder head. The spacer is located on top of the cylinder head and it also serves the purpose of extending the bore provided in the cylinder head for accommodating the dual fuel injection valve. In some embodiments the spacer can provide support for different parts of the actuating mechanism for the cylinder's intake and exhaust valves.

摘要： Provided are isolated cellobiohydrolases comprising a modified Glycoside Hydrolase (GH) Family 7 catalytic domain, a GH Family 7 catalytic domain and a modified Family carbohydrate binding module (CBM), or both a modified Family 7 catalytic domain and a modified Family 1 CBM. Such isolated cellobiohydrolases exhibit from 45% to about 99.9% amino acid sequence identity to amino acids 1- 436 of SEQ ID NO: 1 or to amino acids 1-438 of SEQ ID NO: 2 and improved activity on process substrates.
