摘要： Provided are automotive catalyst composites having a catalytic material on a carrier, wherein the catalytic material comprises at least two layers. The first layer is deposited directly on the carrier and comprises a first palladium component supported on a first refractory metal oxide component, a first oxygen storage component, or a combination thereof. The second layer is deposited on top of the first layer and comprises a rhodium component supported on a second refractory metal oxide component and a second palladium component supported on a second oxygen storage component, a third refractory metal oxide component or a combination thereof. Generally these catalyst composites are used as three-way conversion (TWC) catalysts. Methods of making and using the same are also provided.

摘要： Methods for improving the stoichiometric catalytic conversion of zero-platinum group metals (ZPGM; platinum group metal free) catalyst materials including ternary spinel oxides are disclosed. The ZPGM catalyst materials comprise Cu-Mn-X ternary spinel oxides. The Cu-Mn-X ternary spinel oxides are produced by implementing a partial substitution within the B-site cation of a CuMn 2 04 spinel employing a general formulation CuMn 2-y X y 04, in which y is a variable representing different molar ratios and X is a cation that is not easily reducible. yis a number from 0.01 to 1.99. X is selected from the group consisting of nickel, titanium, aluminum, magnesium, cobalt, barium, lanthanum, cadmium, tin, yttrium, zirconium, and combinations thereof. The stoichiometry conversion of the ZPGM catalyst materials are improved by cation (X) doping, by calcining the ternary spinels at suitable temperatures, by varying the spinel loadings on support oxide, and by improving the oxygen storage capacity. Test results indicate that the ZPGM catalyst materials with improved stoichiometric conversion performance are obtained by improving concentration of Cu +1 , the purity of spinel phase, the loading and dispersion of the spinel, and improving the OSC of the spinel.

摘要： Articles comprising a catalyst film comprising VOx, MoO3 or WO3, and TiO2 deposited on a substrate are disclosed. The articles are useful for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx in exhaust gases. Methods for producing such articles deposit a catalyst film on the substrate to form a coated substrate, which is then calcined. When used in an SCR process, the coated articles have enhanced activity for NOx conversion, reduced activity for SOx conversion, or both. Light-weight, coated articles having high catalyst loads can be fabricated at the same or reduced dimensions when compared with laminated articles, and increased kNOx/kSOx ratios are available even from coated articles having relatively thin catalyst films. The articles should have particular value for power plant operations, where coal and high-sulfur fuels are commonly used and controlling sulfur trioxide generation is critical.
