摘要： An airbeam includes at least a pair of inflatable beams each having an inner sleeve, middle sleeve and outer cover. Each sleeve is stitched to form flat side seams. The sleeves are inverted so that each flat side seam is disposed cantilevered inwardly on the inside of the sleeve. A linear common seam bisects the stitched side edges of the outer cover to form a pair of outer sleeves. One middle sleeve is nested within each outer sleeve. One inner sleeve is nested within each middle sleeve. One inner tube is nested in each inner sleeve. The nesting is arranged so that the side seams of the inner and middle sleeves are adjacent one another or overlap one another along, their entire length and so that the side seams of the outer cover are adjacent or overlap the side seams of the middle sleeve.

摘要： A convertible trailer system includes a convertible trailer having a segmented lower deck, and a segmented upper deck mounted thereover. The segmented lower deck includes floating forward and rear belly ramps which are independently actuable relative to each other so as to be selectively raised and lowered relative to a pair of side rails which define the belly forward of the trailer wheels. When in a fully lowered position the belly ramps are lowered to a lower extremity between the pair of side rails so as to be substantially entirely below uppermost edges of the pair of side rails. When in an elevated position the belly ramps are elevated so as to be co-planar with or above the uppermost edges of the side rails whereby freight may be loaded laterally onto the belly ramps over the pair of side rails.

摘要： An assembly including a frame is attached to the fork carrier of a forklift. The assembly picks up a tarp to cover the cargo on a flatbed trailer. The tarp is secured under the frame on the assembly and the forklift elevates the frame and tarp above the cargo and drapes the tarp over the cargo by firstly driving along side the trailer and secondly lowering the frame. Eyes, loops, D-rings or the like on the corners and mid-section of the tarp are held in hooks slidably mounted on the ends of the frame members. A pivotable lever arm lifts the eyes, loops, D-rings, or the like from the hooks to allow the tarp to settle on the load.

摘要： Waste heat from a steam cycle employing a steam boiler is used to heat water, on an on-demand basis, in a steam-to-water heat exchanger wherein the supply of steam into the heat exchanger is regulated so as to maintain the temperature of the heated water exiting the heat exchanger at a relatively constant pre-set temperature. Further waste heat may be recaptured from the steam boiler steam cycle by pre-heating the incoming cold water being fed into the steam-to-water heat exchanger in the on-demand water heater using the still-hot condensate from the condensation of the steam in the steam-to-water heat exchanger. A condensate-to-water heat exchanger may be employed to pre-heat the cold water infeed to the steam-to-water heat exchanger.
