    • The present invention relates to a rotary drill bit (1) for rotary, crushing rock drilling as well as a check valve (23). The rotary drill bit comprises bearing surfaces for cooperation via bearing elements with races in a rotatable roller (12) provided with rows of crushing means (13). The rotary drill bit comprises a central channel (20), which connects to a first channel (21) and to a second channel (22). The flush channels are provided for cleaning bearings by flusing and to flush away drill cuttings, whereof the orifice of the second flushing channel (22) comprises a check valve (23). The check valve (23) comprises a springloaded device (26), which comprises means (36) for retaining the device centrally in the check valve. The device is axially movable in a recess, one end of which carries a nozzle being provided to exit fluid.

    • The present invention is a hydraulic excavation and delivery device capable of hydraulically removing soil overburden from a buried structure, like a pipeline, and delivering an article, such as an electro-mechanical connector for attachment to the buried structure. Hydraulic excavation is achieved by directing a stream of fluid at soil adjacent to and inside an open bottom region of the device to simultaneously dislodge adjacent soil, suspend dislodged soil in the accumulating fluid and form a pit that the device may fit within. Delivery of article is achieved by: (1) loading an article into the tool; (2) advancing the device toward the buried structure by deepening the pit without significant failure (slumping or sagging) of the pit walls until a portion of the buried structure is exposed and within the device; (3) landing the device on the exposed portion of the structure; (4) fixing the article to the exposed portion of the structure; and (5) releasing the article from the device.

    • A dual circulation fluid hammer drilling system (10) has a fluid hammer (12) which is coupled to a drill string (14). The system (10) utilises a first fluid (16) and a second fluid (18). The first fluid (16) is delivered through the drill string (14) to drive or otherwise power the fluid hammer (12). The second fluid (18) is also delivered through the drill string (14) but in isolation of the first fluid (16) so they do not mix within the drill string (14). The second fluid (18) passes through a hammer bit (38) of the hammer drill (12) and is directed to flow out from a bit face (20). Thus when the system (10) is in use the second fluid (18) will flow across the bit face (20). The first fluid (16) also exits the drilling system (10) at the hammer drill (12). However the first fluid (16) exits upstream or up-hole of the bit face (20).
