摘要： A method and system adapted for use in a mobile telecommunication network is described. The invention describes a rating and routing system which is adapted to enable an efficient rating and routing of data transactions being transmitted through a network. Based on a comparison of identifiers associatable with a subscriber to the network, with a set of parameters defined for data transactions, the system of the present invention is adapted to enable an accurate assessment and allocation of the correct rating tariff value to a specific transaction and the routing of that rated value to an appropriate destination defined for the user.

摘要： The call controlling or managing server (A) comprises a telephone platform database (B) containing detailed data (C) on calls, data (D) on data traffic associated to calls and data (E) referred to users and to their associated IP devices, with respective information including IP address, telephone number, etc. The system comprises a graphic user interface (GUI) which presents: a first interface (J) for configuring the corporate sites, a second interface (K) for configuring numbering plans and a third interface (L) for configuring voice and data billing plans. A module (M) for classifying calls divides calls into typologies according to the entered numbering plans. An additional value module (N) is used to determine call value, i.e. for calculating respective costs of both voice calls and data calls given the entered billing plans. Finally, reference O indicates one or more modules for creating generic and/or detailed reports which can be accessed by the system administrator.

摘要： A system and method in a telecommunications network for billing a call placed by a user based on a reported traffic load in the network. The system includes at least one Media Gateway Control Function (MGCF) that sends a reported traffic load for the MGCF in a registration message to a presence and instant messaging (PIM) Server. Users that subscribe to a load-based billing service also register with the PIM Server. The PIM server sends the reported traffic load to the users whenever the traffic load is updated by the MGCF, and to a billing node when the user places the call. A Call State Control Function (CSCF) sends the duration of the call to the billing node. The billing node determines a billing rate based on the reported traffic load and calculates a charge for the call based on the determined billing rate and the duration of the call.

摘要： In some embodiments, network traffic information is captured at network information sources. These sources provide detailed information about the network communications transactions at a network device. Importantly, different types of sources can provide different types of information. Gatherer devices gather the detailed information from the various information source devices and convert the information into standardized information. The gatherer devices can correlate the gathered information with account information for network transaction accounting. Manager devices manage the gatherer devices and store the gathered standardized information. The manager devices eliminate duplicate network information that may exist in the standardized information. The manager devices also consolidate the information. Importantly, the information stored by the manager devices represents the consolidated, account correlated, network transaction information that can be used for billing or network accounting. The system thereby provides a distributed network accounting and billing system.

Accordingly embodiments of the invention provide a method of identifying data delivery parameters relating to delivery of data accessible from a network location via a communications service provider, wherein the communications service provider has a delivery rate associated therewith, said delivery rate being applicable in respect of said delivery of data, the method comprising: receiving first data indicative of an amount of data that can be downloaded in respect of a request for data access from the network location; receiving second data indicative of a quantity of resource to be allocated in respect of delivery of data accessed from the network location; using the delivery rate and the second data so as to identify a number of individual access requests relating to the first data that can be offset by the allocated quantity of resource, whereby to identify a said delivery parameter; and outputting data indicative of the identified number of individual access requests.
