    • A loudspeaker comprises an acoustic enclosure (101) and an active sound driver (105) mounted in the acoustic enclosure (101). The loudspeaker comprises an elongated bass reflex port (107) having an inner surface forming a free air flow channel where at least part of an area of the inner surface is formed by an acoustic damping material. The inner surface may specifically be formed by an element comprising the acoustic damping material (205) and an outer wall (207) formed by an air impermeable material. The damping material may reduce turbulence and standing waves thereby improving audio quality.
