    • Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods for power control for initial physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) for evolved interference management for traffic adaptation (eIMTA) in LTE. The method generally includes participating in a preliminary random access channel (PRACH) procedure with a user equipment (UE) in a system that supports dynamic time division duplexing (TDD) uplink and downlink subframe configuration based on traffic load; and receiving an initial physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission or re-transmission from the UE, wherein an uplink (UL) power control algorithm for the PUSCH transmission or re-transmission is dependent on whether the PRACH procedure is contention based or non-contention based.

    • Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for dynamic indication of time division duplexed (TDD) uplink (UL)/downlink (DL) subframe configurations in evolved interference management for traffic adaptation (e IMTA) systems with discontinuous reception (DRX) operation. According to certain aspects a method for wireless communication by a base station (BS) is provided. The method generally includes identifying one or more anchor subframes in a frame; configuring a user equipment (UE) to wake up while in a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode and monitor for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in the one or more anchor subframes; and signaling a change in an uplink/downlink configuration of subframes in the frame to the UE in the one or more anchor subframes via the PDCCH.

    • Synchronous HARQ indicator and retransmission timing for TDD reconfiguration in wireless communications systems. HARQ indicator timing for TDD reconfiguration may be based on HARQ indicator timing for one of the pre- or post- reconfiguration TDD configuration, or may be based on a predetermined reference configuration. HARQ retransmission timing for TDD reconfiguration may be determined by predetermined reference configurations and may include remapping to the post- reconfiguration TDD configuration. HARQ retransmission timing may be based on transitional HARQ retransmission timing defining synchronous HARQ retransmission timing for each sub frame having DL resources. Retransmission collisions for cross-boundary HARQ processes may be avoided by suspending HARQ retransmission and/or adaptive UL HARQ techniques. These techniques may be applied to wireless communication systems such as enhanced Interference Management and Traffic Adaptation (elMTA) networks.
