Die Etikettiermaschine (1) weist entlang der Transportstrecke (TS) zwischen dem Behältereinlauf (8) und einem Behälterauslauf (9) zumindest ein Etikettieraggregat (6) zum Etikettieren der Behälter (2) auf. Besonders vorteilhat wird zumindest ein Feuchtigkeitswert der Behälter (2) während und/oder nach der Beförderung der Behälter (2) durch den Trocknungstunnel (7) bestimmt und ferner werden vorteilhaftweise die Behälter (2) in Abhängigkeit von dem bestimmten Feuchtigkeitswert nicht von dem Etikettieraggregat (6) etikettiert und dem Trocknungstunnel (7) erneut zugeführt.
