    • Apparatus arranged to insert a tab between two sheets of a stack of paper, to serve as a marker, has a driven roller (24) and a pinch roller (26) with the tape (12) extending therebetween. The pinch roller (26) is mounted on a rocker arm (25) having at its other end a stud (27), the arm (25) being spring urged to engage the stud (27) with the tape. The downstream edge of the slot (36) co-operates with an edge of the sleeve (37) to provide a shearing action on rotation of the sleeve.
