    • The invention relates to mixtures of substances, containing (A) at least one compound which contains a vinyl group, (B) at least one nitroxyl compound of a secondary amine which does not carry any hydrogen atoms on the alpha -carbon atoms, (C) at least one retarding agent, (D) oxygen, (E) optionally at least one compound of a transition metal and (F) optionally at least one co-stabiliser and a method for inhibiting the premature polymerisation of the compounds (A) which contain vinyl groups. Said method is characterised in that a mixture of component (B), component (C), optionally component (E) and/or optionally component (F) is added to said compounds (A) which contain vinyl groups, or these components are added individually, in an atmosphere containing oxygen as component (D).

    • Provided is a method of forming a polymer, comprising (a) providing a reaction mixture comprising (i) one or more vinyl monomers, (ii) one or more pH-sensitive inhibition systems, (iii) one or more initiators, and (iv) water; (b) establishing conditions in said reaction mixture such that a free radical polymerization of said vinyl monomer occurs at a location, and (c) after steps (a) and (b) and prior to completion of said free radical polymerization, changing the pH of said reaction mixture to increase the rate of generation of said free radical polymerization at the location of said free radical polymerization.

    • The instant invention provides a method for polymerizing one or more ethylene-based polymers. The method for polymerizing one or more ethylene-based polymers according to the present invention comprises the following steps: (1) selecting ethylene and optionally one or more alpha-olefin comonomers; (2) selecting one or more catalyst systems comprising one or more procatalysts comprising Ti, one or more cocatalysts comprising A1, and one or more self-limiting agents (SLA); wherein the ratio of SLA to Ti is from 5:1 to 40:1 and the ratio of A1 to SLA is from 2:1 to 40:1; (3) polymerizing said ethylene and optionally one or more alpha-olefin comonomers in the presence of said one or more catalyst systems via a slurry polymerization process or gas-phase polymerization process in one or more reactors; (4) thereby producing one or more ethylene; wherein said catalyst system has a loss of least 85% of catalyst productivity when the temperature is increased from 85 to 115 C.
