摘要： Embodiments according to the present invention relate to a method and an apparatus for coding/decoding an image using a high precision filter. One embodiment according to the present invention provides a method for coding/decoding an image, comprising: an image coding step for generating a prediction block of a current block, and transforming a residual block which is generated by subtracting the prediction block so as to generate a frequency transformation block, wherein a different transformation method is used according to a transform unit to generate the frequency transformation block, and then quantizing and coding same into a bitstream; and an image decoding step for extracting information on the frequency transformation block, which is quantized from the bitstream, and on the transform unit, and inverse-quantizing the frequency transformation block that is quantized to recover the frequency transformation block, and inverse-transforming the frequency transformation block to recover the residual block, wherein a different inverse-transformation method is used according to the transform unit that is extracted, thereby recovering the frequency transformation block, and the prediction block is generated from a reference block, which is referenced by a motion vector and the recovered residual block and the prediction block are added, thereby recovering the current block.

摘要： The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for determining a motion vector. The apparatus for determining the motion vector according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a block identification unit for identifying a same position block included in a reference picture as a block which is at the same position as a present block; a motion block determination unit for determining whether the present block is a motion block on the basis of the motion vector of the same position block; a motion vector decision unit for deciding the motion vector of the present block according to the determined result; and a resolution conversion unit for converting the resolution of the motion vector of the same position block. According to the present invention, the motion vector resolution is decided in each image region or each motion vector. Inter-prediction encoding or decoding is performed by using the motion vector having the motion vector resolution which is adaptively decided with respect to images. In addition, the present invention enables efficient encoding by adaptively changing the motion vector resolution in predetermined region units of the images and performing the inter-prediction encoding for the images.

摘要： The present invention relates to a high-resolution image encoding / decoding method and device. Provided is an image encoding method wherein the current block is predicted and a prediction block is generated, and a subtraction operation is carried out on the current block and the predicted block thereby generating a residual block, the conversion and quantization types are determined in accordance with the block type of the current block, the residual block is converted and quantized in accordance with the determined conversion and quantization types, and the converted and quantized residual block is encoded. The present invention makes it possible to carry out encoding using a high correlation of temporally / spatially adjacent pixels which depict an image such that not only can the encoding efficiency be increased but also block distortion can be decreased and compression efficiency can be improved, and makes it possible to reduce the number of times that filtering is carried out such that the complexity of devices for encoding and decoding images can be reduced.

The present invention can improve a compression speed by simplifying a prediction mode selection process for compressing the image and can improve the compression efficiency by reducing the size of the compressed data.
