    • A gas bag folding system is disclosed for a gas bag used in an air bag module, as well as a process and device for holding a gas bag in this manner. A top and a bottom layer (2, 3) of the gas bag have each at least one main fold (2a-2d, 3a-3d, 2e-2h, 3e-3h, 15), the main folds extending separately from each other. To fold the bag in this manner, the empty gas bag is outspread so that is has a top layer and a bottom layer, the two layers are separately folded and the folds are gathered together to the required size for packaging in an air bag module. A device for folding the bag in this manner is characterised in that separate folding devices which extend at least approximately perpendicular to the top and bottom layers (2, 3) of an outspread gas bag (1) are associated to the top and bottom layers (2, 3) of the gas bag and can be moved in the direction of the outspread gas bag, and in that an overpressure generator can be connected to the gas bag.

    • The invention concerns a device for securing an airbag housing, comprising a housing base and housing cover, inside the steering wheel. This is done using a bolt which engages in a spring catch, one element being fitted on the base of the airbag housing (1) and the other on the steering wheel (2). On the housing base, hooks (3) are provided and lie parallel to the steering wheel's central axis; a corresponding number of pre-tensioned leg springs (4) are also provided, one limb (5) of each spring being clamped firmly in a mount (8) which exposes one guide aperture (7) for the hook (3) in such a way that the free limb (6) of the spring (4) whose force is directed radially outwards lies within the area of the guide aperture (7) and thus in the insertion path of the hook (3). The skeleton of the steering wheel is provided with at least two pins with grooves around their circumferences, and the base of the housing is provided with a corresponding number of intermediate sleeves which can be placed onto the pins and are each provided with an inner and outer shoulder.     • The invention relates to a method and device for the production of a multilayer plastic element, in which a plastic injection-moulded part is coated with at least one coating of 2-component thermosetting plastic. In accordance with the invention, the plastic element and the coating of 2-component thermosetting plastic are injection-moulded, successively and cycle-synchronously, in the same mould, whereby the reaction time of the 2-component thermosetting plastic is adapted to the time needed for injection-moulding the plastic element. A device for producing a multilayer plastic element by using an injection moulding machine is characterized in that, in the injection moulding machine (11), there is a RIM device (13) for introducing a 2-component thermosetting plastic into a multi-component injection moulding die. This makes it possible for the production of multilayer plastic elements to take place simultaneously, by using a plurality of moulds. For, while the coating of an earlier produced plastic element takes place in one mould, in a second mould the next plastic element is already being injection-moulded.
