    • An embeddable, non-invasively and non-destructivelly measurable identification marker (10) is described which can be read out despite a cover layer (2) which substantially reduces radio frequency and mechanical access. The marker (10) can store data in excess of 16 bit. The marker (10) is preferably remotely readable, is not erasable by electromagnetic radiation, is visually camouflageable and its stored information survives exposure to high temperatures which makes it suitable for use in safety critical applications. A system of detection of the identification marker (10) is also described.

    • A transaction card (20) includes at least two read only magnetic stripes (24 and 26) encoded in accordance with standard encoding protocols. The stripes are associated with areas (21 and 22) of the card which may have different indicia, such as, for example, different textures or colors. In accordance with one embodiment, superimposed upon the card may be two sets of printed indicia including for example, the transaction card number, expiration date, and card user's name. One set of printed indicia is inverted with respect to the second set of printed indicia. The card is of standard size and readable in standard readers as known in the art.

    • An integral, one-piece, resiliency flexible, planar, reusable, programmable radio frequency identification (RFID) luggage tag has a planar flexible sheet core of at least first and second microporous polymer material strips fixedly and permanently joined together completely surrounding first and second RFID transponder assemblies operating at different frequencies. The tag further includes a programmable electronic flexible sheet display in a visibly accessible position on the tag. The tag is further includes a cell phone number and/or email address of an ultimate designated recipient/user of the tag and instructions to contact the recipient via the number or address.
