Type ahead suggestions include suggestions for completing a single search query term and/or suggestions for completing a search query having multiple search query terms. The customer self-service system receives one or more search query terms in a search text box, searches for potential search queries that are likely to complete the one or more search query terms, and provides a selected one of the potential search queries in the search text box as a type ahead suggestion, adjacent to the received one or more search query terms, according to one embodiment. The customer self-service system selects one of the potential search queries based on the received search query terms, the user's profile, and/or the user's tax data, according to one embodiment.

    • Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe pattern recognition determined based on evaluation of contexts associated with a user history of a user. Input may be received from a processing device of a user. A plurality of contexts associated with user history data of the user history may be evaluated. In examples, the evaluating comprises: generating, for each of the plurality of contexts, a score based on: at least one time period of the user history that is associated with a searching of a context and a frequency of searching for the context within the at least one time period. The evaluating may further comprise ranking the plurality of contexts based on the score corresponding with each of the plurality of contexts. One or more contextual suggestions may be generated and output for the received input based on the ranked plurality of contexts.

    • A computer-implemented technique is described herein for facilitating a user's repeated execution of the same computer-implemented actions. The technique performs this task by determining patterns in the manner in which the user repeats requests associated with certain computer-implemented actions. For example, the technique determines context-dependent patterns in the manner in which the user submits search requests to a search system. The technique then leverages those patterns by proactively providing a request-assistance tool to the user in those context-specific circumstances in which the user is likely to perform the repetitive computer-implemented actions. The digital action-assistance tool provides various kinds of assistance to the user in performing the repetitive computer-implemented actions.
