摘要： In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method for communicating a request for handling of a fault or exception occurring in an accelerator to a first instruction sequencer coupled thereto. The accelerator may be a heterogeneous resource with respect to the first instruction sequencer, e.g., of a different instruction set architecture. Responsive to the request, the fault or exception may be handled in the first instruction sequencer. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Diblock and triblock peptide-based body surface coloring reagents formed by coupling a body surface binding peptide to a pigment binding peptide, either directly or through a spacer, are described. The peptide-based body surface coloring reagents may be used in conjunction with pigments to color body surfaces.

摘要： Peptide tags, referred to here as inclusion body tags, are disclosed and are useful for the generation of insoluble fusion peptides. The fusion peptides comprise at least one inclusion body tag operably linked to a peptide of interest. Expression of the fusion peptide in a host cell results in a product that is insoluble and contained within inclusion bodies in the cell and/or cell lysate. The inclusion bodies may then be purified and the protein of interest may be isolated after cleavage from the inclusion body tag.

摘要： Method, apparatus and system embodiments to schedule user-level OS-independent "shreds" without intervention of an operating system. For at least one embodiment, the shred is scheduled for execution by a scheduler routine rather than the operating system. The scheduler routine resides in user space and may be part of a runtime library. The library may also include monitoring logic that monitors execution of a shredded program and provides scheduling hints, based on shred dependence information, to the scheduler. In addition, the scheduler may further optimize shred scheduling by taking into account information about a system's configuration of thread execution hardware. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a non-contact package useful (110) when an article (130) to be stored or shipped in the package includes a sensitive surface (132), the performance of which will be detrimentally affected if the sensitive surface is contacted with a nominal amount of mechanical force. A fluid environment which does not produce sufficient mechanical force to detrimentally affect the sensitive surface may be used in contact with the sensitive surface to prevent an undesirable chemical reaction on the sensitive surface. A fluid environment may also be used inside the package to support surrounding walls of the package so that such walls do not contact the sensitive surface and/or to dissipate force applied to the exterior of the package so that the sensitive surface will not be damaged. The more advantageous embodiments of the non-contact packaging not only protect sensitive surfaces of articles within the packaging during storage and shipping of the package, but also reduce the possibility that sensitive surfaces of the article will be damaged by contact with the packaging material during removal of the article from the package.
