摘要： A plastic closure includes a base (30) molded as one piece with a lid (28) and integrally connected to the lid by a hinge (32). The lid is radially inwardly displaced from an outer periphery of the base. The hinge has a central portion (50) with a convex outer surface, with the lid closed and as viewed in side elevation, that blends with a smooth curvature into outer surfaces of the lid and the base. The hinge has laterally spaced end portions (52, 54) on opposite sides of the central portion and having concave outer surfaces when the lid is closed. The base preferably has a circular periphery and the end portions of the hinge are angularly spaced from each other. The outer surface of the lid preferably is flat, and the lid preferably is integrally connected to the base as molded by at least one frangible bridge (46) spaced from the hinge.

摘要： A child-resistant dispensing closure includes a base (22) having a deck (28), a dispensing opening (30) in the deck and a peripheral skirt (34) extending from the deck. A lid (24) is integrally hinged to the base for movement between a closed position overlying the deck and an open position spaced from the deck. The base has an opening (52) in the deck adjacent to the peripheral skirt and opposite from the hinge, and a tab (56) extends from the skirt adjacent to the opening. The lid has a lug (64) for snap-coupling over an exterior of the tab in the closed position of the lid. The peripheral skirt is resiliently flexibly moveable into the opening to move the tab out of engagement with the lug on the lid skirt and thereby permit movement of the lid to the open position.

A closure (24) of integrally molded plastic construction includes a base wall (38), a peripheral outer wall (40), and an inner wall (42) spaced from the outer wall and having at least one internal thread for securement to the container finish. The outer wall has diametrically opposed gaps (46, 48), and the inner wall extends axially in radial alignment with the gaps for circumferential abutment with the at least one lug on the container. The inner wall is flexible inwardly for clearing the lug between the lug and the external abutment, and for permitting removal of the closure from the container finish. The external abutment (70) preferably is in the form of an external bead that extends circumferentially around the finish in alignment with an edge of the lug.
