摘要： The invention provides nanoparticles consisting of a polymer which is a metal chelating agent coated with a magnetic metal oxide, wherein at least one active agent is covalently bound to the polymer, said nanoparticles may optionally further comprise at least one active agent physically or covalently bound to the outer surface of the magnetic metal oxide. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising these nanoparticles may be used, inter alia, for detection and treatment of tumors and inflammations.

摘要： An article comprising immobilized protein which has been manufactured from at least one polymer containing a plurality of free hydroxy groups which is selected from the group consisting of cellulose and its functional derivatives, polysaccharides other than cellulose and their functional derivatives, and other polymers containing a plurality of free hydroxy groups, the at least one polymer being conjugated with at least one amine function of a biologically active protein which is cross-linked, provided that said manufacture includes the sequential steps of: contacting the at least one polymer in absence of reactants for hydroxy groups, with at least one N-heterocyclic compound; derivatizing the at least one polymer by reaction with at least one reactant for free hydroxy groups in the polymer, such that the resultant derivative is reactive with the at least one amine function; reacting the resultant derivative with at least one amine function in a non-cross-linked protein to form polymer-non-cross-linked protein conjugate; and cross-linking the polymer-conjugated protein in presence of non-conjugated protein by reacting conjugated and non-conjugated protein together in at least one step with cross-linking agent; further provided that the at least one amine function of a cross-linked biologically active protein includes at least one N-H bond, and still further provided that the contacting step is effected for a period of time sufficient to increase the capacity of the at least one polymer for reaction with the at least one reactant, in comparison with an analogous sequence of steps in which the contacting step is omitted.
