    • In connection with a method and a tool for preparing a well for the production of hydrocarbons, it is aimed at perforating a casing portion (26) and working surrounding sediment (80) in a channel-forming manner.     • The present invention relates to a drilling device for creating ramifications in a bore hole drilled in unstable rock, wherein said device comprises a pilot drill head (14) whose progression is fully controlled and has a drill rod (4) attached thereto. The pilot drill head comprises an opening (42) on its periphery, a deflection part (50) located within said head as well as outlet openings (34, 36) through which a bore-hole reinforcing suspension is ejected. An inner drill head (44) is capable of longitudinal displacement along the pilot drill head (14) and is deviated by the deflection part (50) from the path (54) of said pilot drill head (14). After the completion of a pilot bore by forwarding the pilot drill head whose progression is fully controlled, a bore-hole reinforcing suspension is ejected from said pilot drill head while the inner drill head passes by the deflection part in the pilot drill head, a ramification bore being thus created by forwarding said inner drill head.

    • Hydraulic drilling apparatus and method in which a hole is formed with a series of drilling heads (26) and strings (42) of successively smaller diameter. After each section of the hole is formed, the drill head is withdrawn back through the string, leaving the string in place in the hole as a casing for the well. The next smaller size drill head and string are then introduced through the strings which have already been placed, and the process is repeated until the hole has reached the desired length. The course of the hole can be changed, e.g. from vertical to horizontal, without interruption of the drilling process by selective application of the drilling fluid to the nozzles in the drill head to steer the advancing string. Multiple laterals (53a-53d) are formed by introducing a module (51) having a plurality of extensible drilling tubes (53) with drill heads (56) at the distal ends thereof into the string and applying the pressurized drilling fluid to the module to advance the tube from the string.
