    • A control device in an internal combustion engine, interlocking with a device to generate swirls in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine by allowing bypass paths bypassing a throttle valve which adjusts taken-in air flowrate of the internal combustion engine to control an output from the internal combustion engine and causing air to flow in from the side of atmosphere to communicate for respective cylinders with air take-in ports on the downstream side of the throttle valve. This control device is provided with a processor to determine the operating status of the internal combustion engine such as the number of rotations and torque on the basis of sensors for detecting a vehicle speed, gear positions, an opening of an accelerator, taken-in air flowrate and the like, and signals from these sensors, calculates the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine according to the strength of swirls to be produced on the basis of the operating status, and outputs the calculated values as control signals.

    • This invention relates to a method and an apparatus for automatically generating a control program for a computer controlled system, such as a plant. A plurality of general-purpose standard program modules (49, 51) are prepared in advance, and a choice is made between these standard modules, a standard module chosen being indicated in the form of pictorial information on a display (21). Non-standard program modules (50, 52) are produced by combining standard modules arbitrarily on the basis of an operation plan, and stored in the form of pictorial information in a stacker (155). The non-standard modules are also grouped according to arbitrary program functions and produced in multiplicity. A source program is produced by compiling these non-standard modules, and the non-standard modules are then assembled to produce non-addressed intermediate-stage modules. Load modules can be made by linking and editing these intermediate-stage modules.
