摘要： A method and system for enforcing the user of a proxy server within an enterprise communication system. The system includes an enterprise voice application server configured to act as a SIP proxy to client devices, and a private branch exchange configured to act as a SIP registrar. The client devices are configured to evaluate incoming SIP requests to determine whether they were received via the enterprise voice application server and, if not, to respond with a SIP 305 Use Proxy message referencing the enterprise voice application server in a Contact field. The 305 Use Proxy message forces the PBX or other intermediate SIP server to reroute the SIP request and any subsequent SIP requests in the dialog through the enterprise voice application server.

摘要： The present invention allows calls that are controlled by a multimedia subsystem (MS) to employ bearer paths that are supported in whole or in part by a circuit-switched subsystem (CS). As such, calls controlled by the MS can have a portion of the bearer path provided through the CS when needed or desired. To facilitate such control, a session control signaling path is established between a user element currently supported by the CS and a remote user agent (RUA), which represents the user element in the MS. While a portion of the bearer path for the call is supported by the CS, the session control signaling path extends the reach of the MS to the user element.

摘要： Systems and methods for a Survivable Branch Office are provided by embodiments of the invention. The Survivable Branch Office includes a plurality of interconnected packet-based network devices, wherein the Branch Office is adapted to operate in a first mode during which centralized telephony call processing services are supplied to the Branch Office by a Main Office via a connection between the Branch Office and the Main Office. The Branch Office is also adapted to operate in a second mode when the connection between the Branch Office and the Main Office is interrupted. In the second mode the plurality of interconnected packet-based network devices collectively provide telephony call processing services in a distributed manner for the Branch Office. The network devices in some instances are packet-based peer-to-peer terminal sets, wherein the terminal sets themselves can collectively provide required telephony services normally supplied by the Main Office, by operating in a peer-to-peer mode when connection is lost with the Main Office.
