    • The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for efficient feedback in a wireless communication system that supports multiple antennas. In a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for transmitting channel state information regarding downlink transmission through an uplink may comprise the steps of: receiving a downlink signal through a downlink channel; generating a rank indicator (RI) for the downlink channel, a first pre-coding matrix indicator (PMI), and a second PMI, and generating a channel quality indicator (CQI) on the basis of pre-coding information which is determined by a combination of the first and second PMIs; and transmitting the RI, first PMI, second PMI, and/or CQI through the uplink channel. The CQI may comprise a first type of CQI calculated on the basis of the number N of layers in which the downlink signal is received and/or a second type of CQI calculated on the basis of the assumption that the number of layers in which the downlink signal is transmitted is K (where K>N).

    • The present invention relates to a method for transmitting a CRS (Common Reference Signal) for channel measurement in a downlink MIMO (Multi Input Multi Output) system which supports first user equipment that supports N transmitting antennas from among M transmitting antennas in total, and second user equipment that supports said M (wherein, M>N) transmitting antennas. The method comprises: a step in which a base station maps the CRS (Common Reference Signal) for said M transmitting antennas to a RE (Resource Element) of a subframe; and a step in which the base station transmits the subframe. The position of the RE to which the CRS for said M transmitting antennas is mapped in the subframe falls within the random even-numbered REs which are consecutively arranged in a frequency domain, excluding the RE to which a DRS (dedicated reference signal) for the first user equipment is mapped.

    • The present invention relates to a method for transmitting a reference signal (RS) for measuring a channel in a downlink MIMO (Multi Input Multi Output) system that supports: a first user device supporting N base station transmission antennas out of a total of M base station transmission antennas and a second user device supporting M (M>N) base station transmission antennas. The method comprises the steps of: grouping a certain number of subframes or a resource block (RB) to transmit a common reference signal (CRS) for M transmission antennas from the base station; and transmitting the subframes or the resource block to the second user device. The grouped subframes or the resource block are transmitted to the second user terminal in a specific time period, and in the subframes or the resource block, the common reference signal is mapped to different transmission antenna ports corresponding to a quotient which is obtained by dividing M by a specific number.
