摘要： The device and method of the invention are adapted to control temperature and humidity of the air in some defined volume such as a room in a house. The device consists of a quantity of hygroscopic material and means for passing air past or through the material. Direct temperature and humidity control occur when air is conditioned (heated and dried by sorption heating, or cooled and humidified by absorption cooling) and sent inside the room; indirect control is also possible, by affecting the temperature of the walls (the sorption material may occupy channels or spaces within the walls, which are then heated/cooled, indirectly heating/cooling the air in the room by conduction). A fan or blower will allow for forced convection of air in a desired path (e.g from outside the house, over/through the sorption material, and into the house, or in the opposite direction). A second fan and valves allow for more complex operations.

摘要： An integrated solar building product panel that may be integrated into an existing structure's building materials providing an esthetically pleasing appearance and structural integrity. The shock absorbing and vibration damping construction panel comprises at least one solar cell assembly supported by a bottom support component with a vibration damping component surrounding each solar cell assembly. A top transparent protective component is mounted on the vibration damping layer with a gap between the solar cell assembly for protecting each solar cell assembly, and transferring any impact forces to the vibration damping layer isolated from the solar cells. Accordingly, in response to a force applied to the top protective component, the top protective component is deformable up to the width of the gap, and the vibration damping component transfers the force to the compressible bottom support component.

摘要： A roof ventilation system for asphalt shingle or composition roofs which include a vent slot located through the roof structure along a roof ridge is provided. An unrollable vent assembly that is installable in one piece is formed from an upper water barrier having first and second vent arrangements connected thereto, and each of the first and second vent arrangements include at least two longitudinal strips of a vent material with a longitudinally extending space therebetween. The strips of vent material and the longitudinally extending space are positionable on the roof parallel to the ridge so that the first and second vent arrangements are located on each side of the ridge vent slot, respectively. The vent system prevents ingress of moisture and debris, and the upper water barrier extends between the first and second vent arrangements and over the vent slot in the installed position.
