摘要： A method of manufacturing a glass phial including an indicia marking region, comprises the step of curing a glass phial by heating it. After this step, a porous writing patch is applied to the phial, for example by applying and curing an ink or by applying a plastic writing patch, to form the indicia marking region which is capable of being marked by dye sublimation. The porous writing patch is cured at a low temperature so that the patch remains sufficiently porous to be printed on by a dye sublimation process. The ingression of the dye into the patch gives the indicia more resilience and protection from chemical or mechanical abrasion or damage.
