摘要： The invention provides methods for diagnosing B-cell lymphoma in an animal. In particular, the invention provides methods for distinguishing an animal having diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) with an activated B-cell (ABC) phenotype from an animal having DLBCL with a non-activated germinal-center (GC) phenotype. The invention also provides methods for identifying compounds for treating B-cell lymphoma. The invention further provides reagents and methods for determining the amount of miR-155 in sample isolated from an animal. In this regard, the invention provides a set of oligonucleotides for determining the amount of miR-155 in sample isolated from an animal.

摘要： The present invention relates to means for cleaving a nucleic acid cleavage structure in a site-specific manner. Enzymes, including 5' nucleases and 3' exonucleases, are used to screen for known and unknown mutations, including single base changes, in nucleic acids. Methods are provided which allow for the identification of genetic mutations in human gene sequences, including the human p53 gene, in a sample. Methods are provided which allow for the detection and identification of bacterial and viral pathogens and species in a sample.

摘要： The present invention relates to means for the detection and characterization of nucleic acid sequences, as well as variations in nucleic acid sequences. The present invention also relates to methods for forming a nucleic acid cleavage structure on a target sequence and cleaving the nucleic acid cleavage structure in a site-specific manner. The structure-specific nuclease activity of a variety of enzymes is used to cleave the target-dependent cleavage structure, thereby indicating the presence of specific nucleic acid sequences or specific variations thereof. The present invention further relates to methods and devices for the separation of nucleic acid molecules based on charge. The present invention also provides methods for the detection of non-target cleavage products via the formation of a complete and activated protein binding region.

摘要： Various systems and methods for controlling DC motors are disclosed herein. For example, one method provides for controlling a polyphase, brushless DC motor. The method includes providing a DC motor that has a plurality of phases. Such a DC motor operates by inducing a current in the plurality of phases in accordance with a plurality of commutation states. In the example, six commutation states are discussed, but fewer than or more than six commutation states may exist. The method further includes initializing a count (405), including a current in the plurality of phases in accordance with a first commutation state (415), and incrementing the count until the current achieves a threshold (420) in the first commutation state (415). Then, a current is induced in the plurality of phases in accordance with a second commutation state (430), and the count is decremented (447) until the current achieves the threshold in the second commutation state (430). The sign bit (455) of the count is stored, and a desired initial commutation state (470) is determined based at least in part on the sign bit (455) of the count.
