    • An image forming apparatus that displays an image, includes: a scanning section that scans light from a light source in a main scanning direction and a sub-scanning direction orthogonal to the main scanning direction, as drawing sine waves; a detecting part that detects a change in a position of the scanning part in the main scanning direction and a change in a position of the scanning part in the sub-scanning direction; a phase difference comparator that detects a phase difference and a frequency ratio between the main scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction, based on the change in the position of the main scanning direction and the change in the position of the sub-scanning direction; and an image data generation part that estimates a scanning trajectory of the scanning part based on the phase difference and the frequency ratio, and generates pixel data corresponding to the scanning trajectory.

    • A video displaying apparatus and a method are provided. The video displaying apparatus includes a signal input unit which receives a video signal comprising video information and synchronization information of a video formed by a plurality of pixels; a video displaying unit which generates an electron beam based on of the video information to display the video; a deflecting unit which performs a scanning operation by deflecting the electron beam based on the synchronization information; and a video correcting unit which corrects the video information so that locations of displayed pixels corresponding to the corrected video information coincide with locations of pixels corresponding to the video information before the correction. With this configuration, a deflection correcting circuit is removed to reduce power loss and a production cost. In addition, video quality can be improved by digital deflection correction.

    • An image signal display device includes program data readout circuitry by which at least one second adjustment data not to be adjusted takes a proper value relative to a first adjustment data to be adjusted, in accordance with a predetermined relational expression. Data calculating circuitry is provided to calculate the second adjustment data in accordance with the predetermined relational expression, in response to a change in the first adjustment data. Data changing circuitry is provided to change the second adjustment data together with the first adjustment data. A memory is provided to store at least a coefficient data of the relational expression, wherein the memory can be read out from and written to. A digital/analog conversion circuit is provided to convert an output signal from the memory into an analog signal. Additionally, a display is provided to represent an output signal from the digital/analog conversion circuit as an image.

    • A CRT (cathode ray tube) controller for controlling one CRT device in an interlace mode has a synchronizing circuit of bi-directional construction, in order to make possible synchronous operation of the CRT controller with other circuits (other CRT controllers or a TV system). When the CRTC is used as a master circuit of a CRT display system, a synchronizing signal is derived from the synchronizing circuit in synchronization on with a count signal of a vertical scanning counter and an output of an interlace controller of the CRTC, and is supplied to a synchronizing terminal of the other CRTCs. Scanning counters and a flip-flop for controlling an interlace operation of the other CRTCs are reset to their initial state in synchronization with the synchronizing signal. When the CRTC is used as a slave circuit, scanning counters and a flip-flop of the CRTC are reset to their initial state in synchronization with the external synchronizing signal.
