摘要： The current disclosure relates to the design of an apparatus for enhancing the operation and reliability of high-power multi-chip modules, which are used in the design and implementation of power electronics converters. This apparatus is especially useful for modules containing recently-commercialized, high-performance wide band-gap semiconductors such as Silicon Carbide (SiC), which commonly emit undesirable high-frequency ringing and oscillation in the “Near-RF” spectral band between 1-30 MHz. The disclosed apparatus provides near-complete elimination of this high frequency spectral content, while leaving the desired frequency range (1-100 kHz) of the module unaffected. In addition to the suppression of this undesirable high-frequency content, the disclosed apparatus also provides for accurate, galvanically-isolated, high-bandwidth, real-time current measurement, which is essential for some types of power electronics converters. Prior to the disclosure of this apparatus, these two features (ringing suppression and current measurement) have required physically-separate circuits for implementation, which increases the size, weight, and cost of the final implementation. The apparatus disclosed here provides both of these features in simple circuit topology that can be implemented compactly inside the geometry of a multi-chip power module.

A current calculation device is provided to obtain a current flowing in the conductor to be measured on the basis of a magnetic field detected by the magnetoelectric conversion element(s) for current measurement and the physical quantity measured by the distance measurement unit when the conductor to be measured is clamped by the respective clamping parts.

摘要： A tool and method for handling a part within an electrical power transmission system is disclosed, the part having a flange with a hole through the flange. A first jaw and a second jaw are connected to pivot relative to one another and have respective ends that converge upon closure, for example to hold the flange between the respective ends. The first jaw may have a tooth extended at the respective end of the first jaw for fitting within the hole in the flange to hold the flange between the respective ends when the tool is in a closed position. The tool may be a hot stick adapter, or may include a hot stick made at least in part of dielectric material. An actuator may be connected to operate one or both of the first jaw and the second jaw from a user end of the hot stick.

摘要： Systems and methods provide measurement of alternating current (AC) electrical parameters in an insulated wire without requiring a galvanic connection between the insulated wire and a test probe. Measurement systems or instruments may include a housing that includes both a non-contact voltage sensor and a non-contact current sensor. The measurement system obtains measurements from the voltage sensor and the current sensor during a measurement time interval and processes the measurements to determine AC electrical parameters of the insulated wire. The AC electrical parameters may be presented to an operator via a visual indicator device (e.g., display, lights). The AC electrical parameters may additionally or alternatively be communicated to an external device via a wired and/or wireless communications interface. The measurement system may include an alignment feedback sensor that provides feedback to a user regarding the mechanical alignment of the insulated wire relative to the voltage sensor and the current sensor.

Spring arms extend generally in the direction of insertion and each have a projection extending into the cavity for coupling the battery pack to the power tool. The spring arms are configured to deform in engagement with the respective rails of the battery pack when the battery pack is inserted into the cavity. The rails are elongated generally in the direction of insertion.

摘要： A power distribution monitoring system is provided that can include a number of features. The system can include a plurality of monitoring devices configured to attach to individual conductors on a power grid distribution network. In some embodiments, a monitoring device is disposed on each conductor of a three-phase network and utilizes a split-core transformer to harvest energy from the conductors. The monitoring devices can be configured to harvest energy from the AC power grid and apply a DC bias to core halves of the split-core transformer to maintain a positive magnetic force between the core halves. Methods of installing and using the monitoring devices are also provided.
