摘要： A system for distribution of hydrogen gas in a metal hydride reactor is disclosed. The system comprises a hydrogen distribution conduit positioned within a metal tube so as to define an annular space between the hydrogen distribution conduit and the outer metal tube. The hydrogen distribution conduit provides a flow passage for the hydrogen gas. A metal sponge matrix containing hydrogen-storing metal powder or hydrogen-storing alloy powder is filled in the annular space. The system provides a more uniform distribution of hydrogen across the particles of the hydrogen-storing metal/alloy powder, provides mechanical support to the hydrogen distribution conduit, improves the thermal conductivity of the powdered metal/alloy bed and reduces the size and production cost of the reactor.

The absorber includes a heat exchange section that removes absorption heat of the refrigerant vapor into the absorbing liquid and a membrane member, disposed so as to surround and cover the heat exchange section that the absorbing liquid contacts, through which the refrigerant vapor can pass but the absorbing liquid cannot pass.

摘要： A transcritical R-744 refrigeration system, especially used for refrigerating a skating rink, has a heat exchanger between the gas cooler followed by a throttling device and the flash tank (or receiver), in order to eliminate the need of a flash-gas bypass. The heat exchanger connects to an external mechanical refrigeration system operating at a higher evaporating temperature than the transcritical R-744 refrigeration system, and generally totally condenses the vapor of the R-744 refrigerant before it reaches the flask tank. A method for improving the energy efficiency of the transcritical R-744 refrigeration system is also disclosed.

摘要： A co-fired generator for use in a continuous-cycle absorption heating and cooling system may provide heat to the interior of an annulus chamber from a first heat exchanger, such as a firetube heat exchanger, supplemented by heat to the exterior of the annulus chamber from a second heat exchanger containing fluid heated by an external source. Some embodiments may circulate fluid heated in a solar-heated collector through the second heat exchanger. Other embodiments may route exhaust gas from a combustion engine through the second heat exchanger. The second heat exchanger may be provided with a plurality of fins to increase the surface area available for thermal transfer between the heated fluid and the annulus chamber.
