摘要： A rotary heat pump 10 comprises a vapor generator 20, a condenser 24/34, an evaporator 42 and an absorber 40 interconnected to provide cyclic fluid flow paths for a volatile fluid component and an absorbent fluid therefor. To allow operation of the pump close to the crystallisation boundary the pump includes crystallisation control means which cause the temperature of the fluid in the region prone to crystallisation to be raised when the onset of crystallisation is detected. For example the pressure increase upstream of a crystallisation site may cause warm fluid to be diverted directly or indirectly to increase the fluid temperature at the crystallisation site. The Specification also describes features for controlling the absorbent mixture flow rate; for controlling the concentration thereof; for damping a scoop pump; for assuming flow onto the generator face; for pressure relief and extended operation of the pump; to novel heat exchangers; to metal compositions for the heat pump, and to hydrogen getters for use in heat pumps.

摘要： An absorption heat pump device capable of suppressing a reduction in performance as the absorption heat pump device resulting from improper control of the concentration of an absorbing liquid due to the inclination, shaking, etc. of a vehicle body at the time of mounting the absorption heat pump device on a vehicle is provided. An absorption heat pump device in which an absorbing liquid absorbs refrigerant vapor includes an evaporator that evaporates a refrigerant and an absorber in which the refrigerant vapor evaporated in the evaporator is absorbed by the absorbing liquid. The absorber includes a heat exchange section that removes absorption heat of the refrigerant vapor into the absorbing liquid and a membrane member, disposed so as to surround and cover the heat exchange section that the absorbing liquid contacts, through which the refrigerant vapor can pass but the absorbing liquid cannot pass.

The sections contain working fluids flowing in opposite directions. Heat transfer longitudinally of the conduit sections is reduced relative to heat transfer transversely of the conduit sections. In a preferred embodiment, the conduit sections extend at an acute angle to the direction of the principal gravity or other acceleration field; that is, at an acute angle to horizontal in a stationary system, or at an acute angle to the radial direction in a rotary system.
