摘要： A rotary compressor may include a cylinder having an inner peripheral surface defined in an annular shape to define a compression space, and a suction port that extends in a lateral direction to communicate with the compression space and through which refrigerant is suctioned into the compression space; a roller rotatably provided in the compression space of the cylinder, and having a plurality of vane slots that provides a back pressure at one side thereinside provided at a predetermined interval along an outer peripheral surface of the roller; a plurality of vanes slidably inserted into the plurality of vane slots, respectively, to rotate together with the roller, front end surfaces of which come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder due to the back pressure to partition the compression space into a plurality of compression chambers; and a main bearing and a sub bearing provided at ends of the cylinder and in contact with surfaces of the plurality of vanes, respectively, and spaced apart from each other to define surfaces of the compression space, respectively. At least one surface of the vane in contact with the main bearing and the sub bearing may be a curved surface having a predetermined curvature.

摘要： A variable volume chamber device is disclosed. The chambers may be defined by the space between four pivotally connected vanes contained within a housing. The vanes may be connected so as to create a sealed interior chamber that may be used as a combustion chamber in an internal combustion engine, or as a pumping chamber in a pump or compressor. The four-vane assembly may also form additional variable volume chambers between the vanes and a surrounding structure. The plurality of variable volume chambers may be interconnected to progressively act on a working fluid.

摘要： A water pump for a marine engine includes a cap covering an internal cavity of the pump's housing when the pump is operating. The cap functions as a tool to remove a damaged or worn impeller from inside the internal cavity. A threaded hub of the cap engages internal threads of the impeller to assist a user in removing the impeller for replacement. A cap lock ring threaded onto the pump housing retains the cap over the internal cavity. A rotatable drive shaft has splines which mate with a splined portion of the impeller to rotate the impeller. The cap lock ring is disengaged from the housing and the cap removed to enable a person to use the threaded hub of the cap to remove the impeller.

The vanes are received within slots in a rotor which surrounds the shaft and rotates about an axis coaxial with the shaft. The rotor rotates within a housing having a cylindrical surface facing the rotor. The surface is eccentric to the shaft. The vanes execute reciprocal motion upon rotation of the rotor. 摘要： A generally channel sectioned wall stud 7 which has been cold roll-formed from a sheet metal strip comprises a web 8 and two flanges 9. The web 8 has a substantial central strip that is planar. A nogging clearance hole 10, is provided in the central strip of the web 8 at each point where a nogging 11 is to be affixed thereto. The nogging 11 may be roll-formed from material the same as or similar to that of the stud 7 and is also generally channel sectioned, comprising a web 12, with a flat ended central rib 13 formed therein and flanges 14. The web 12 is pierced by clearance slots 15 arranged in two rows extending longitudinally of the nogging 11. The individual slots 15 are regularly spaced apart along the rows. The nogging clearance hole 10 is shaped to suit the nogging 11. To that end it is partly defined by two tabs 16 projecting from the web 8 and lying in the plane of its central strip 13. Each tab 16 is able to enter any one of the holes 15, and the tabs are spaced apart (center to center) by substantially the same distance as are the two rows of holes 15. Thus the tabs 16 may simultaneously enter each of any pair of holes 15 at corresponding locations in their respective rows.

摘要： A mobile metal building forming machine forms panels of predetermined length from a coil of flat metal and then the formed panels are continuously crimped on their side edges for strength and are selectively curved by crimping the bottom of the panel. The crimping and curvature are automatically controlled so that building panels with vertical walls and an arched roof may be formed. A moveable crimping roll is automatically portioned to control the curvature and the roll is chain driven so that it may be moved without affecting its rotational drive.
