摘要： An improved device for sewing two articles with overlapped edges, includes a longitudinal guide (7), laterally delimited by two inclined, upwardly convergent, flat surfaces (7a,7b) on which a first article (1) and second article (2) to be sewn are moved. A curved winglet (11) is made integral with the top of the guide (7) and is bent downwards to overhang one of the inclined surface (7b). A folding over member (12), moves vertically over the longitudinal guide (7), so as to clamp an edge (3) of the first article (1) on the curved winglet (11), thus folding over the edge (3) so as to overlap a corresponding edge of the second article (2), while a needle (20) makes a stitch (4). A support element (17), equipped with a presser foot (18), presses the edge of the second article against the inclined surface (7b) of the guide (7).

摘要： A machine for sewing together two workpiece parts having edges of equal or unequal length by using a bead seam, especially for joining together the edge of a vamp and the shorter edge of a plug of a true moccasin shoe, so that the length of the plug matches that of the longer edge of the vamp, in only one operation. The bead seam forming device essentially consists of an auxiliary folding and ruffling finger acting in front of the needle of the sewing machine and in synchronous driving connection with the needle; several machines are described which are provided with different bead seam forming devices.

摘要： An automatic sewing machine is provided wherein the clamps for holding the workpiece can be used to define at least two different sewing patterns. The sewing pattern which is particularly defined by a given arrangement of clamps is indicated to a digital control system within the sewing machine. The control system is operative to subsequently implement an automated stitching of the particular sewing pattern which has thus been indicated thereto. This automatic stitching is accomplished through a sequential reading of a set of instructions previously stored within a memory associated with the control system. The set of instructions remain the same for at least two different sewing patterns. These instructions are altered upon read out by certain control logic which takes note of which pattern has been defined by the given arrangement of clamps. The automated stitching is completed by an automatic ejection of the clamped workpiece.
