摘要： A pressure-relief device includes a housing, a through-line, a feed-line connection, and a discharge-line connection. The housing comprises a housing wall that defines a chamber in an interior of the housing. The through-line, which extends, at least in sections, through the chamber and is configured for connection to the media line via the feed-line connection and the discharge-line connection, includes a through-wall that is formed, at least in part, from an elastically deformable material. A controller causes an inner pressure within the chamber to transition between a production pressure and a relief pressure that is less than the production pressure.

摘要： A valve element is provided comprising an inlet configured to receive a fluid at a first pressure, a vent that can be blocked or unblocked to vent fluid from the valve element, and a port formed in an actuating surface of the valve element at which the fluid is at a second pressure. A first internal fluid passage connects the inlet to the vent, and a second internal fluid passage connects the port to the first internal fluid passage at an angle with respect to the first fluid passage. The port is configured to be closed such that the net flow of fluid into and out of the port is substantially zero. The valve element is configured such that the second pressure is substantially equal to the first pressure when the vent is blocked and substantially lower than the first pressure when the vent is not blocked.

A first and a second gas path are provided that serve for supplying and withdrawing a pressurized gas, and that during filling of a respective container communicate with the interior of this container via a third gas path. The first gas path can be controlled by a control valve, while the second gas path is in constant communication with the third gas path that leads to the interior of the container. This third gas path is common to both the first and the second gas path, and the control valve can be actuated independently from the liquid flow valve.

The return gas, that is to be withdrawn from a container that is being filled, is conveyed, accompanied by a pressure differerntial, into a return gas chamber via a connection that is provided with a flow control mechanism. In this return gas chamber a pressure is regulated that is adjustable within a range that is between the filling pressure and the critical pressure of the flow control mechanism. In this way, the flow velocity with which the dispensed liquid flows into a container that is being filled can be smoothly adapted in an infinitely variable manner to the filling characteristics of a respectively dispensed liquid, and/or to the respective output requirements of the filling apparatus.

摘要： An air supply and control apparatus for an inflatable mattress 2 has several air compressors 1 which are operated in turn, during normal operation, to inflate the mattress 2. In the case of the pressure in the mattress 2 falling below an upper preset value the air supply is provided by having more than one air compressor 1 operate simultaneously. The apparatus has electronic circuitry for effecting this alteration of the mode of operation when pressure sensing means 4 detects a fall in mattress pressure. In the case of a more severe drop in mattress pressure a valve 16 in an air outlet of the mattress 2 is closed under control of the electronic circuitry. The apparatus is particularly suitable for use with a mattress 2 having a plurality of separately inflatable regions, air being supplied to the regions from the air compressors 1 via a distributor 3.
