    • The present invention provides an emergency evacuation apparatus comprises: an annular floating body (1) having a hollow chamber of watertight construction, a midsection thereof having a circular or oval cross-section; a support (2) on which the annular floating body is placed; and guiding member (3) for passing through a central space in the annular floating body so that there is play therebetween and vertically guiding the annular floating body, the guiding member being secured to the support, whereby the floating body capable of accommodating people and possessions floats during a flood or tsunami, and the floating body can return to an original installation location when the flood or tsunami ends.

    • A watertight door system for a marine vessel comprises a door and a door frame having a threshold. A circumferential seal is around an opening of the door frame closed by the door. The seal is formed between seal components of the door and seal components of the door frame. The frame is adapted for connection to the bulkhead and comprises two sides, a top member and a floor trough. Means are provided to press the door against the frame when the door is in a closed position. The trough has a floor plate substantially flush with a top edge of the trough, which floor plate is adapted to form a floor panel of the floor of the vessel, with said trough received in an aperture of the floor. The trough has a lid to close the trough, at least when the door is in an open position, so that the floor is rendered substantially level through the door aperture. The seal may extend along the lid (in the case of a pivoting door) or in the trough, in the case of a sliding door.

    • A fiberglass pontoon boat, having raised and integrated fiberglass side rails, a flat floor, and a side entry level with the flat floor. Integrated seats are molded in fiberglass. The hull and deck join together by flexing the hull to compensate for opposing draft angles of the hull and deck at the side entry. The deck has a floor and at least one other interior component, and terminates in a deck trim flange. The hull has at least two hollow pontoons and at least two side rails that extend from an outer edge of the pontoons, and the hull terminates in a hull trim flange. When assembled, the hull trim flange operatively engages beneath the deck trim flange to form a unified pontoon boat having a space between the deck and hull and wherein the side rails are integrated as structural parts of the interior component.

    • A watertight door comprising: a door frame; a door panel, with a perimeter normally adjacent to the door frame when the door is closed, and with a first facing side and a second facing side, configured to open and close within the door frame; a first gasket lip seal generally encircling the perimeter and nearer to the first facing side, the first gasket lip seal having a base section, sealing section, and bending section; a second gasket lip seal generally encircling the perimeter, nearer to the second facing side, and adjacent to the first gasket lip seal, the second gasket lip seal having a base section, sealing section and bending section; a plurality of extension pin sleeves located perpendicular to the perimeter; a plurality of extension pins moveably housed in the plurality of extension pin sleeves; a plurality of gasket retraction plates located generally about the perimeter, and in communication with the plurality of pins; a plurality of springs located in the extension pin sleeves, and configured to push the extension pins and gasket retraction plates towards the door frame; a gasket retraction plate retraction means in operable communication with the gasket retraction plates; wherein the gasket retraction plate retraction means is configured to retract the gasket retraction plates towards the center of the door panel thereby impinging the first gasket lip seal and the second gasket lip seal such that both gasket lip do not form a seal with the door frame, and wherein the gasket retraction plate retraction means is further configured to release the gasket retraction plates such that the first gasket lip seal and the second gasket lip seals are no longer impinged by the gasket retraction plates and thus both the first and second gasket lip seals each form a seal on the door frame.
