    • The invention relates to a pedal boat drive comprising at least one pedal crank (11) and a drive train for transferring drive energy produced by the pedal crank (11) to a means of propulsion (20), e.g. a propeller. At least one flywheel (16), which is mounted on a free-running axle (22), is placed in the drive train between the pedal crank (11) and the means of propulsion (20). Drive energy produced by the pedal crank (11) is transferred from the pedal crank to the flywheel (16), which is mounted in a free-running manner, and is transferred from said flywheel to the means of propulsion (20). The aim of the invention is to further develop a pedal boat drive of this type that enables a pedal boat to be used as an item of sports equipment. In doing this, the pedal boat should behave in water similar to a bicycle on land with regard to the feeling of riding. To this end, a switching mechanism (18, 21, 23, 24) for reversing the running direction of the means of propulsion (20) while the direction of rotation of the pedal crank (11) remains unchanged is placed in the drive train, and the pedal boat drive has two flywheels (16), which are mounted parallel to one another on the free-running axle (22) while leaving an intermediate space (17) therebetween. A take-off element (18) is placed inside said intermediate space (17). This take-off element is connected to the means of propulsion (20), serves to transfer the drive energy and can be coupled as desired to one of the inner faces (28a, 28b) of both flywheels (16) in order to transmit drive energy. The invention also relates to a pedal boat comprising a pedal boat drive of the aforementioned type.

    • The present invention is for a recreational water vessel that may by operated driven by a manually operated propeller and drive system or it may be driven by wind under sail. The vessel includes two boards mounted to a main frame. Each board has a concave shaped bottom surface and an inner side surface that is vertically disposed with respect to the surface of the water. The drive system operates two propellers simultaneously and/or independently. A key mechanism may be biased between a position to operate the propeller simultaneously and independently. The vessel has a mast that is mounted toward the rear or stern of the main frame. A boom is mounted forward of a seat. A sail has a top mounted to the mast and a clew mounted to the boom. The sail is triangular such that a fold extends from the boom to the mast forming two halves of the sail.

    • A light weight and portable pond boat. The boat includes a frame designed to be flexible and readily disassembled. The frame is supported on a pair of inflatable pontoons and can be positioned along their length, without requiring deflation, to adjust the trim of the boat. A propulsion mechanism is removably mounted to the frame and includes a set of pedals which drive a propeller. The angle at which the propulsion mechanism is carried by the frame is also adjustable to vary the boat's draw requirements. The propulsion mechanism includes a mechanism that enables it to "kick-up" when a submerged object is contacted, lessening damage to the propeller. A steering mechanism and an adjustable seat are also removably mounted to the frame. With all of its components being detachable, capable of being disassembled or deflated, the boat can be packed within a motor vehicle enhancing transportation and storage.
