摘要： A method and apparatus for reducing pathogens in successive pre-measured units of a flowable food product without substantially increasing the head height requirement of a feed production system. A plurality of containers are moved about a path within a housing. The path has a plurality of stations, such as a receiving station, one or more sanitizing stations, and a dispensing station, and a container cleaning station. A pre-measured unit of the flowable food product is received at the receiving station into a container. The pre-measured unit of the flowable food product is exposed to one or more sanitizing agents at one or more sanitizing stations. The pre-measured unit of the flowable food product is dispensed into the packaging device at the dispensing station. The containers are then cleaned at the container cleaning station to prepare each container to receive a subsequent pre-quantified unit of the flowable feed product.

摘要： An edible composition to prolong the shelf-life of food products can include gum arabic and date pits extract. The edible composition can be applied to a food product to preserve the food product. For example, the edible composition can protect the food product from bacterial growth, loss of moisture, and/or oxidation. In an embodiment, the edible composition can be applied to the food product prior to refrigeration to increase the shelf-life of the food product. For example, the food product with the edible composition applied thereon, can be refrigerated at a temperature of about 4° C. in order to increase the shelf-life of the food product. The food product can include at least one of a meat product, a fruit product, and a vegetable product. The meat product can include, e.g., chicken, beef, or lamb. In an embodiment, the meat product is chicken.

摘要： A chiller bath includes a tank for holding a volume of chiller water; a dosing system for dosing a first solution and a second solution into the chiller water, arranged to create a plurality of zones within the volume of water, wherein each zone has a higher concentration of either the first or the second solution than surrounding portions of the volume of water; and a meat or poultry immersion arrangement for immersing and moving carcasses in the chiller water. A method for reducing bacterial load on meat or poultry includes generating a plurality of zones within a chiller bath containing water by dosing a source of alkalinity and antimicrobial into the water, wherein the plurality of zones comprises at least one alkaline zone with a pH above 8.5, and at least one antimicrobial zone with pH below 8.5; and submersing meat or poultry in the bath. The zones can also be generated using spray nozzles in a meat or poultry operation.

摘要： Provided is a dry aging system using oxygen in which a separate dry-aging room is provided in a refrigerating compartment, and a mixed gas using oxygen is supplied into the dry-aging room so as to solve a blacking and browning phenomenon of a meat surface, which is led to an increase in loss rate and an increase in edible meat cost, which are disadvantages of existing dry-aging, thereby allowing the meat surface to be maintained in a bright red color through meat color fixation, minimizing the occurrence of the blacking and browning phenomenon to reduce the loss rate of the edible meat, and supplying flavorful dry-aged meat at a more reasonable price. Also, the blacking and browning phenomenon occurring on the generally dry-aged meat may be significantly reduced to produce aesthetically and tastefully very superior dry-aged meat.

摘要： A method for preserving and conditioning beef comprises: cleaning and chopping picked fresh beef, dipping in composite essential oil prepared from clove essential oil, cinnamon essential oil and illicium verum essential oil for 30 s and taking out and draining slightly; placing the beef dipped into a modified atmosphere packaging box and fast precooling; inflating gas of mixed proportion into the cooled modified atmosphere packaging box with beef for preservation packaging and then storing at the low temperature of 0-4° C. The shelf life of the beef packaged by the method is up to 24 d. The aerobic bacterial count is not over 6.0 lgcfu/g. A total volatile basic nitrogen TVB-N value is not over 20 mg/100 g and belongs to the range of second freshness. The beef is stable in color, is cherry-red, has the advantage of good preservation effect and is used for cooking preserved cooked beef.

摘要： A system and method are provided for displaying a uniform network resource locator embedded in a time-based medium. In one embodiment, the time-based medium can be a movie file having an uniform network resource locator embedded by association with a track in the movie file. In another embodiment, the time-based medium can be a video signal having encoded information defining an embedded uniform network resource locator. An output for display is generated based upon the time-based medium where display of the output shows the embedded uniform network resource locator to a user such that the embedded uniform network resource locator is active during display of the output. The user is then allowed to activate the embedded uniform network resource locator. In response to activation by the user, the embedded uniform network resource locator is followed to retrieve a resource addressed by the embedded uniform network resource locator.

摘要： Disclosed are a multipurpose, high-functional, alkaline solution composition, preparation therefor and use thereof as a nonspecific immunostimulator. The composition comprises 1-25 parts by weight of borax (Na2B4O7.10H2O), 10−5-10−4 parts by weight of sodium thiosulfate (Na2S2O3.5H2O), 30-150 parts by weight of potassium carbonate, 30-200 parts by weight of refined sugar (C12H22O11), and 100-200 parts by weight of water, based on 100 parts by weight of sodium metasilicate (Na2SiO3.5H2O). 摘要： A method for improving the quality of frozen seafood by enhancing flavor and shelf-life so that the seafood can be stored under commercial conditions. This method includes injection of substances into the flesh or circulatory system of live fish and whole seafood prior to cooking or freezing. These injected substances include antioxidants and cryoprotectants which circulate throughout the tissues, allowing for a uniform distribution throughout the flesh of the animal. The animal is then frozen, or cooked and then frozen, and stored for later use. The present invention is also directed to a solution for injecting into live fish and whole seafood in accordance with the method of the present invention.
