    • An interconnected assembly of an array of high frequency coaxial connectors includes a pair of mounting plates having opposed mating coaxial electrical connectors mounted therein. The opposed connectors are configured such that a redundant or dual electrical connection is established when one connector is telescopingly received within the other connector. The redundant connection includes a butted interface, as well as a frictional interfit between the connectors. This arrangement eliminates the need to provide individual coupling nuts for securing the link between mated pairs of connectors which enables the distance between connectors along each plate to be reduced thereby conserving space. Further, due to the redundant electrical connection, should vibration or misalignment cause the mated connectors to separate, thereby breaking the butt interface connection, electrical continuity is still maintained. In a preferred embodiment of the subject invention, one of the connectors in each pair is float mounted in the associated mounting plate to enable the connector to shift during mating thereby overcoming any misalignments to achieve a satisfactory electrical connection.

    • Preassembled connecting and terminating apparatus for connecting multiple pin-type contacts to the edge of printed circuit boards for interconnecting associated electrical circuits or circuitry thereon. Contacts are preloaded and press fitted into a connector header assembly for immediate use or shipment. The header assembly includes integral guiding and camming means permitting contact insertion or removal from the top or the bottom of the header without the inconvenience of dismounting the assembly. This permits the connector header to be dismounted without disturbing the preload feature thereby avoiding damage to the contacts or the header. Integral means is provided enabling the contacts to be press fitted into holes in the printed circuit board in spite of partial misalignment between contact and hole without damage to the board or to the contacts. Means is also provided permitting the header to receive a contact insertion tool for press fitting contacts into connector header, and also permanently attaching the contacts to the associated printed circuit board, by press fitting.

    • A self-locating male-female connector is shown which is utilized with an aerospace plastic lighting panel. The male element is embedded in the rear of the lighting panel, which bears operational information on the front thereof. The male element is generally T-shaped with the leg projecting outwardly from the rear surface of the panel. The female element is movably mounted, within an orifice in a metal backplate, to which the panel is to be secured. The female element is generally Y-shaped having a lead connecting portion and a resilient guiding portion extending upwardly therefrom whereby the resilient guiding portion is capable of compressibly engaging the projecting male portion when inserted therein.

    • A low resistance electrical connector adapted to allow for various types of misalignment between conductors including a furcated terminal block which carries a plurality of adjustable wafers that include a bevelled forward surface. Each wafer includes a recessed top and bottom channel as well as opposite lateral channels.
