摘要： Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a lithium battery having a stack of a negative electrode, a separator, and a positive electrode. A pattern of holes is produced in the negative electrode as well as in the positive electrode. A polymeric material is applied on at least one side of the stack and the stack is subjected to heat and pressure, so that the polymeric material penetrates the holes, whereby components are stuck and pressed together. The polymeric material includes bulges which are at least partially located at the ends of holes in the electrode (s). The provision of such bulges of polymeric material makes enough polymeric material available to fill the holes and stick together the electrodes and the separator, while on the outer sides of the stack, in between the holes, the polymeric material can be very thin or even be absent.

摘要： The present invention provides a flat cell that employs strip-shaped electrode plates on which an active material layer has been formed by coating paste or by electrolytic deposition on both sides or one side of a core material consisting of a metal foil. By constructing an electrode group having an oval cross section by spirally winding in a manner folding, a strip-shaped positive plate having a striped recessed portion of a predetermined width of which the center is positioned on the line of folding formed on the active material layer at least the inner side of at least the inner-most folded portion close to a core portion, and a strip-shaped negative plate with a separator interposed, reduction in the battery capacity due to breakage of the electrode plates and/or peeling off and dropping of the active material layers and failure due to internal short circuit as has previously been caused when assembling an electrode group having an oval cross section can be completely eliminated, thus drastically improving the reliability of flat cells, especially flat type lithium-ion secondary batteries.

摘要： A lithium secondary battery having a winding-type electrode assembly and a case accommodating the electrode assembly, and a method of manufacturing thereof. In the lithium secondary battery, ion-conductive polymer is contained in at least one of a hollow portion of the electrode assembly and an inner space of the case other than the hollow portion. The hollow portion and/or the inner space of the case of the electrode assembly is filled with ion-conductive polymer which can consume the heat generated in the battery and which is changed into a gel-state by an electrolytic solution, to dissipate the heat generated in the battery. Accordingly, the explosion of the battery can be suppressed, thereby preventing the reliability and safety of the battery from lowering.
