摘要： A flat panel display includes a substrate, a front glass, a cathode, a gate electrode, a plurality of front ribs, a phosphor film and a metal-backed film, and a gate rib. The front glass is arranged to oppose the substrate and forms a vacuum envelope together with the substrate. The front glass is transparent at least partially. The cathode is arranged on the substrate. The gate electrode is arranged between the substrate and front glass and includes an electron-passing hole through which an electron emitted from the cathode passes. The front ribs extend vertically at a predetermined interval from the front glass toward the gate electrode. The phosphor film and metal-backed film are stacked on a region of the front glass which is sandwiched by the front ribs. The gate rib extends vertically from the gate electrode toward the front glass and is in contact with the front ribs. A gate electrode structure and a gate electrode structure manufacturing method are also disclosed.

摘要： A display panel includes a resin lens layer. The display panel consists of a front panel 10 and a back panel 12 which are hermetically sealed together. The display panel also includes a plurality of display cells and is filled with a gas. A visible-light transparent resin is coated over the front surface of the front panel 10. The resin layer is raise-molded with a molding tool 16 while being solidified. Through this molding process, a resin lens layer 14 with plural lenses is formed on the front surface of the front panel 10. The resin lens layer 14 formed on the front surface of the front panel 10 can improve the brightness of the display cells.

摘要： A tiled display device is formed from display tiles having picture element (pixel) positions defined up to the edge of the tiles. Each tile includes a memory which stores display data, and pixel driving circuitry which controls the scanning and illumination of the pixels on the tile. The tiles are formed in two parts, an electronics section and a display section. Each of these parts includes connecting pads which cover several pixel positions. Each connecting pad makes an electrical connection to only one row electrode or column electrode. The connecting pads on the display section are electrically connected and physically joined to corresponding connecting pads on the electronics section to form a complete tile.

摘要： A fluorescent display device capable of being sealed while being evacuated to a high vacuum without independently forming any evacuation hole at an electrode formation section of a substrate of an envelope. A cathode substrate is sealedly formed of an electrode formation section of a large plate-like shape provided thereon with a field emission cathode, an evacuation section of a small plate-like shape formed with a cutout, and a seal member. An anode substrate on which a display section is spacedly arranged oppositely to the cathode substrate. A getter chamber including an evacuation tube is connected to the evacuation hole. Thus, the present invention eliminate independent formation of any specific evacuation at the electrode formation section, to thereby prevent damage and contamination of the substrates.
