    • An electromagnetic relay and methods for its manufacture are provided. The relay has a coil body with flanges and with at least one winding disposed between the flanges. A rod-shaped core is respectively arranged axially inside each winding. The yoke is secured against motion in the longitudinal direction and against pivotal movement in a coil flange by mounting elements. In addition, the first end of the core is connected on the side surface of the first yoke leg by welding or soldering. A double relay with first yoke legs disposed next to each other in parallel fashion is preferably created, whereby the core-yoke connection is produced in a simple manner and a good magnetic transition is ensured.

    • A relay having two coils which are arranged axially flush on a base body (1), wherein each coil has a winding (23, 33) and a core (14, 15) connected by means of a U-shaped yoke (12). A single armature (13) is supported on a center section of the yoke (12) such that it can be changed over between the inner ends of the two cores (14, 15). In addition, two contact springs (7, 8) are arranged between the two cores, on both sides of the same, parallel to the armature. The contact-making ends of the two contact springs rest on a common center contact element (61) in the quiescent state. Depending on which winding (23 or 33) is energized, a corresponding contact spring (7 or 8 respectively) is lifted off the center, contact element (61) and moved into contact with an outer contact element (51 or 52 respectively). The relay is advantageously suited as a pole-reversal relay for driving DC motors having a changing rotation direction (e.g., as found in motor vehicles).

    • An interlock mechanically locks out of one of two electromagnetic switching devices which are located side by side while the other switching device is in its closed position. The interlock achieves this lockout by adapting the moving parts of the switching devices, which are to be coupled, to locking elements. The locking elements are preferably slide bars which extend from the interlock. The moving parts of the switching devices form coupling members for auxiliary switches. These auxiliary switches can be set onto the switching device. The slide bars conform to the coupling members. This makes it possible to mount an interlock, for two electromagnetic switching devices located side by side, in place of or in addition to auxiliary switch units.

    • A relay includes two armatures each having a contact spring and a contact piece secured thereto which interacts with the respective cooperating contact element. The two movable contact pieces are electrically connected by a stranded copper conductor so that a series connection of the two contacts is formed. The series connection can be interrupted twice by the two armatures which switch independently of one another so that a reliable opening of the circuit is assured even if one of the contacts fuses. The relay is particularly useful for safety circuits such as in motor vehicles.

    • An electrical contactor comprises a rectangular base carrying at least one pair of spaced fixed contacts. A movable support element carrying movable contacts is disposed on the base. A prismatic casing open at both ends is disposed on the base. A solenoid disposed within and supported by the casing comprises a movable armature having two parallel legs directed towards the base with their free ends resting on the movable support element. Two arms are hinged to the base near diagonally opposed corners of the base and have inwardly-directed projections arranged to engage diagonally opposed corners of the end of the casing remote from the base when the arms are pivoted against the casing. The inwardly-directed projections are provided with threaded holes. A cover plate can be superimposed over the end of the casing remote from the base and over the projections, the cover plate being provided with holes in register with the threaded holes when the arms are pivoted against the casing whereby screws can be passed through the holes and engaged within the threaded holes to lock together the above-mentioned parts of the contactor. The cover plate is provided with an aperture giving access to a push-button connected to the armature. One or more additional elements can be mounted on a side or sides of the casing to be locked between the base and cover plate. The additional member may be a cover element, an auxiliary switch/contact set assembly, or a structure for interconnecting the contactor and a juxtaposed, like contactor to prevent the two contactors from being operated at the same time.
