    • A combined current and voltage transformer for a metal-enclosed, gas-insulated high-voltage switching station. It has a current and voltage sensor (10) and a signal processing device connected following the current and voltage sensor (10). A coil (14) wound in the shape of a torus serves as current sensor, and a hollow cylindrical test electrode (15) serves as voltage sensor. After installation of the current and voltage sensor (10) in the metal enclosure (4), the coil (14) and test electrode (15) concentrically surround a conductor (5) of the switching station. This combined current and voltage transformer is cost effective in production, has small dimensions, and a high measurement accuracy. This is achieved when the current and voltage sensors are constructed such that signals corresponding to the temporal variation in the current to be determined and in the voltage to be determined are present at their outputs, and the signal processing device has at least one integration device on which the output signals of the current and voltage sensors (10) act.

    • The unconventional measurement transformer for protection and/or measurement equipment of a three-phase electricity grid delivers digital information representative of a voltage or of a current of an electricity line by making use of optical sensors that are provided in sufficient number to achieve a certain amount of redundancy in the measurement paths. The output paths of the optical sensors are processed by digital processing means to validate said voltage or current digital information by a majority vote. Advantage is taken of features specific to three-phase high voltage and to the performance of such optical sensors to reduce the number of optical sensors required in an unconventional measurement transformer to obtain a degree of redundancy.

    • An electrostatic shield for controlling the electrostatic field between a high voltage conductor and a low voltage conductor in an instrument transformer is provided. The instrument transformer has a current transformer and a voltage transformer. The current transformer has a split core which includes a first core segment and a second core segment. When the first core segment adjoins the second core segment, a current transformer is formed, having a core formed from the first and second core segments. The high voltage conductor runs between the first and second core segments of the current transformer. The first core segment is encapsulated in a polymer resin and when encapsulated, forms a first encasement. The second core segment has a low voltage winding mounted thereon. The electrostatic shield is disposed between the low voltage winding and the high voltage conductor. A second encasement is formed by encapsulating the electrostatic shield, low voltage winding and second core segment in a polymer resin.

    • An organic combined insulated dry electronic transformer for outputting an optical signal, in which an organic insulated capacitor voltage-divider insulator is used as the main insulator to bear all the whole high voltage. A coreless coil is wound around the outside of the tap of capacitance plate in the capacitor voltage-divider insulator to measure current; or a low voltage signal is taken from the capacitance plate adjacent to the tap of capacitance plate in the capacitor voltage-divider insulator to measure voltage; then the received current signal or the voltage signal is transformed into an optical signal by a converter that converts an electric signal into an optical signal and then outputted. The coreless coil as a current sensor has ground potential and the capacitor as a voltage sensor has low potential.
