    • A control unit having a thermostatically operated switch means adapted to interconnect and disconnect an electrical source to and from a heating means of a cooking oven to tend to maintain a selected temperature output when the switch means is moved from an off position thereof to a selected on position thereof, a timer operated switch means and a relay switch means each having first and second positions whereby the relay switch means and the timer operated switch means are adapted when in their first positions thereof to interconnect the source to the heating means through the thermostatically operated switch means. The timer operated switch means is adapted to cause the relay switch means to move to its second position when the timer operated switch means automatically moves to its second position, the timer operated switch means and the relay switch means being adapted to maintain the relay switch means in its second position even though the timer operated switch means automatically moves back to its first position after the lapse of a selected cooking time period until the thermostatically operated switch means is turned to its off position so that the relay switch means can automatically move back to its first position. The relay switch means when in its second position providing for a warmth retaining and noncooking operation of the heating means, or for a nonoperating condition of the heating means.

    • An electronic system for awakening especially deaf persons and for relaxing and soothing tired and aching muscles of persons who frequently develop body tiredness from overwork or due to some organic illness is described. The systems comprises an electric timer unit for setting a desired time of the day when a sleeper intends to be awakened, and a pulsative resonator unit connected to said timer unit through an electric cord and is positioned, during use thereof, under the sleeper's pillow. When the set time of the day arrives, the timer unit automatically triggers the pulsative resonator unit, which causes a repeated vibratory action under the pillow and awakens the sleeper. The system is provided with a double-throw switch within a dual electric circuit therein whereby the repeatedly occurring vibratory pulsations produced in one of the circuits therein can be altered to one of continuous vibratory pulsations for application in the means for relaxing of tired or aching bodily muscles and thereby soothing the body.

    • A multiple-switch clock includes a conventional main face clock and three other clocks the faces for which are disposed upon the main clock face at locations corresponding to the 10 o''clock, 2 o''clock, and 4 o''clock positions of the main face. Six electrical outlets are disposed within the side panels of the clock casing, electrical power to each of the outlets being controlled either by the main face clock or one of the three associative clocks, singly or in combination and in a simultaneous or alternative fashion. The clock movements include appropriate gearing for indicating the time appearing upon the respective clock faces as well as means for actuating electrical switches associated with the electrical outlets whereby electrical power to the outlets may be automatically supplied or terminated. In addition, additional electronic circuitry and switching means are provided whereby electrical power to all the electrical outlets may be manually supplied or terminated, as well as for facilitating the automatic control of electrical power to particular outlets by several of the clocks.
