    • A liquid level sender assembly constructed to minimize contact distortion and dither. A housing supports a resistive track and a pivot arm is connected to the housing. The pivot arm has a force transmitting member attached which interacts with a boss on a contact carrier which is also pivotably attached to the case. A space is provided in the fit of boss within the force transmitting member which allows the boss to remain in one position when the pivot arm vibrates in small oscillations, but causes the boss to move in response to larger movements of the pivot arm. Contacts on the contact assembly electrically cooperate with the resistive track to provide a variable resistor. The contact carrier receives only force components directed circumferentially about the axis.

    • A fuel gauge unit for a fuel tank which, when the gauge unit is attached to the fuel tank, is fixed in its rotational angle in a simple fashion, and in which the fuel scale is simple and easy to inspect visually. An indicator is provided which moves back and forth in a horizontal plane when a bearing connected to a float rotates. The position of the indicator corresponds to a fuel scale, so that the quantity of fuel in the fuel tank can be determined by inspecting the gauge. On the top of the gauge unit is a protruding rectangular portion with a transparent window. This protruding rectangular portion engages in a hole in the cover plate attached to the fuel tank. The protruding rectangular portion and its hole may have a rectangular or oblong surface which serves as a rotational position lock for the gauge unit.

    • A liquid level change indicator is described as an apparatus. which generates a visual indication when a liquid level in a controlled vessel has changed and indicates amount of change for a timed period. Operation of the instrument entails positioning the apparatus in the liquid containment vessel from a support chain. Positioning, is accomplished by a course chain adjustment, followed by a fine-threaded-nut adjustment. A float centering itself in a concentric circle sight gauge indicates initial correct monitoring position. Deviation from one of the concentric rings constitutes a liquid level change. Each concentric ring indicates a larger level change relative to the innermost sight ring per unit test time.
