    • An embodiment of the invention extends to an interface for converting rotational motion to electrical signals comprising a mechanical actuator which is rotationally moveable in a first direction and in a second direction, and a first and a second electrical component connected to the actuator and arranged so that rotation of the actuator in the first direction causes changes in electrical properties of the first electrical component and rotation of the actuator in the second direction causes changes in electrical properties of the second electrical component. The first and the second electrical components are connected to one or more electrical circuits so that rotation of the actuator in the first and the second directions causes changes in the one or more electrical circuits.

    • A sensor bearing assembly having a rolling element bearing and at least one sensor is provided. The rolling element bearing includes an inner ring, an outer ring, and rolling elements arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring. The at least one sensor is arranged to convert one or more physical magnitudes to electrical sensor signals. The sensor is attached directly or indirectly to the rolling element bearing. The assembly further comprises a converter unit. The converter unit is arranged to convert the electrical sensor signals to output signals, the output signals are different to in type, form and/or amplitude in relation to the electrical sensor signals. The converter unit is also disposed in a separate enclosure that does not share the same enclosure with the sensor.

    • A graphic recording system includes a pen carriage supporting a plurality of pen shuttles which support a plurality of recording pens in a linear array together with means for moving the pen carriage in a carriage path. A rotary actuation system is supported by and operative to engage selected ones of the pen shuttles to move a selected one of the recording pens into contact with the recording media. The rotary actuating system is operated by an elongated actuator beam supported in parallel with the carriage path and coupled to the rotary actuating system. A brake within the rotary actuator is operative to engage the actuator beam and permit alignment of the rotary actuator with a selected pen shuttle within the pen carriage array by movement of the pen carraige. Each recording pen is secured to its respective pen shuttle by a bayonet mounting system such that the recording pens are secured to the pen shuttles in a twist-lock assembly.
