摘要： A diffuser assembly for a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a housing having an outer frame and an inner frame disposed within the outer frame. The outer frame includes an inlet configured to receive an air flow. The inner frame forms a first flow path for the air flow through the housing between the outer frame and the inner frame. The inner frame defines a second flow path for the air flow through the inner frame. The diffuser assembly also includes a damper assembly configured to transition between a first configuration to enable discharge of the air flow from the housing via the first flow path and a second configuration to enable discharge of the air flow from the housing via the second flow path.

摘要： A manufacturing fixture having an integrated diffuser for diffusing conditioned air into an industrial workspace is disclosed. The fixture includes an elevated platform having an air inlet and a diffuser deck mounted below the platform and disposed below the air inlet. The diffuser deck includes a set of louver plates arranged in a vertical stack. Each of the louver plates of the set has a top surface and an opening wherein the opening of each subsequent louver plate below the uppermost louver plate has an area less than the area of the louver plate directly above. The top surface of each louver plate is angled downward from the opening.

摘要： Fabric drop-down diffusers are disclosed. An example drop-down diffuser includes an upper panel including an upper fabric sheet to be held in radial tension by an upper hoop. The upper panel defines a supply air inlet. The example drop-down diffuser further includes a lower panel to be underneath and spaced apart from the upper panel. The example drop-down diffuser also includes a circumferential fabric sheet to encircle the upper panel and the lower panel. The circumferential fabric sheet is to extend downward from the upper panel to the lower panel to define an air chamber bordered by the upper panel, the lower panel and the circumferential fabric sheet. The air chamber is connected in fluid communication with the supply air inlet.

摘要： A method and apparatus for eliminating register boxes, improving penetration sealing, improving airflow and reducing the labor costs to install ceiling registers is disclosed. A collar plate assembly that interfaces with flexible or metal air ducts is provided with at least one spring indentation ring in the collar portion of the assembly to accept two or more locking springs. These locking springs are used to attach the ceiling register to the collar plate assembly. The collar plate assembly uses mounting rails that attach the assembly to either ceiling or wall supports. After the ceiling or wall material is applied, the circular area inside the collar is cut-out to provide access. A trim ring is inserted in the cut-out that attaches between the collar and the ceiling or wall to eliminate air leakage and provide an essentially smooth flow of air from the supply duct into the inside of the structure. After ceiling or wall installation and surface preparation is completed, the ceiling register is simply positioned over the register cut-out and firmly inserted until it seals against the ceiling or wall surface. The ceiling register is locked into place by the action of its locking springs expanding into the collar indentation ring. No ceiling register mounting hardware is required.

摘要： An air diffuser for diffusing conditioned air into a room has a diffuser body mounted in a housing to define an air channel which narrows towards the outlet end of the housing to produce a venturi-like effect causing the air to speed up as it leaves the diffuser so that the conditioned air can penetrate stratified layers of air in the room. The diffuser body is of tapered form having a narrow upper end portion and a wider lower end portion disposed in the open, outlet end of the housing. The diffuser body has a surface which faces the internal surface of a sloping side wall of the housing and which is inclined at an angle to the vertical greater than that of the sloping side wall of the housing to provide the narrowing air channel. The diffuser body is adjustably mounted for movement relative to the housing so that the flow of conditioned air leaving the outlet end of the housing can be adjusted.

摘要： An air vent for the generation of high turbulence air jets is comprised of a rotationally symmetrical casing having a flared discharge mouth. A deflector plate is mounted in the plane of the mouth to define with the mouth an annular discharge opening. An air guide is mounted within the casing that includes an annular flared deflector portion located adjacent the discharge mouth of the casing. Radially extending twist paddles or fins are mounted on the air guide to impart a twist to the air stream. The air guide is preferably adjustably mounted within the casing for movement axially thereof whereby when the deflector portion of the guide is disposed above the plane of the mouth portion a spreading of the air stream is achieved, and when the deflector is located below the plane of the mouth portion a concentration of the stream is achieved, intermediate effects being achieved at intermediate positions of the guide relative to the casing.
