摘要： The invention relates to a retainer mechanism used for holding a net-type array of miniature light bulbs. The retainer mechanism includes a C-shaped loop adaptable for coupling with a miniature light bulb socket. The C-shaped loop is provided with a symmetrical hook portion on two sides of the C-shaped loop. The hook portion has a bulged outer end that, in cooperation with the inner end, forms an entirely embracing structure around electrical wires that pass through the hook portion. Thus the retainer mechanism according to the invention can effectively seize electrical wires. Furthermore, the retainer can be individually made and so it is applicable to current miniature light bulb sockets without any changes on the socket structure.

摘要： A portable illumination device includes a plurality of flexible, memory-retaining members for supporting and suspending itself. In one form, the portable illumination device of the present invention is a novelty flashlight in which the plurality of flexible, memory-retaining members are four in number and configured to simulate arms and legs. The novelty flashlight has a generally cylindrical main body portion. A bulb is mounted in the main body portion for producing a source of light. In one mode of use, the illumination device can be suspended from a bar, hook or other structure, by wrapping one or more of the flexible, memory-retaining members about the structure. In another mode of use, the flexible, memory-retaining members can be used to support the illumination device upon a support surface. The flexibility of the flexible, memory-retaining members permit the direction of the source of light to be easily and quickly adjusted.

The cylindrical core member at the top of the conical shape preferably has a vertically adjustable ornament holder extending upwardly therefrom, while a plurality of wire clips are slidably mounted on said tubular members to engage and hold the wires of conventional electric Christmas lights spirally wrapped therearound. One attractive modification is the provision of lights at the base of the tubes and directed upwardly therethrough. By virtue of the hinged fastening to the top cylindrical core, once the cross braces at the base are telescoped or alternatively removed and the legs telescoped, the device can be stored in a very small space.
