    • Bidirectional hydraulic pump that comprises a hydraulic body (1) comprising an inlet port (2) from which receives a water flow, a first outlet port (3) and a second outlet port (4); an impeller housed in said hydraulic body (1), which causes the water flow to move in either one direction or the other; and a valve body (5) that surrounds the impeller. The valve body (5) comprises at least one orifice (6) and said valve body (5) is slidable on the internal surface of the hydraulic body (1) in one direction or the other, due to the action of the water flow, between a first position wherein the orifice (6) is aligned with the first outlet port (3) and a second position wherein the orifice (6) is aligned with the second outlet port (4).

    • An impeller driven by a reversible motor is set in a housing and a functional path capable of sending out liquid by pump action is formed between the inner wall of the housing and the impeller. On the both-end side of the functional path are provided two adjacent valve chambers divided by a partition, and within this partition is provided a liuqid introducing path leading to the valve chambers via inlets. On the wall of the valve chamber facing the inlet is opened an outlet, and a valve body which opens and closes the inlets and outlets is set. The liquid introducing path, one valve chamber, the functional path, and the other valve chamber are arranged in series, so that, while one valve chamber is positive in pressure, the other chamber does not fail to be negative in pressure. Thus, liquid is sent out exactly to the outlet on the positive pressure side, without being erroneously set to the other outlet on the negative pressure side.

    • Reversal means for a transverse or cross flow blower is provided which allows for reversal of fluid flow direction without changing impeller rotation direction. In the first embodiment, power means rotate the housing 180.degree. from its initial position, thereby providing for reversal of the fluid flow. In the second embodiment, fluid flow reversal is provided by a pair of inlet and outlet volute walls made up of curved vanes. The vanes are generally elongated and pivotally mounted for rotation about their longitudinal axis by means of linkages connected to a power means. By opening the vanes of one volute wall while closing the vanes of the other, air flow reversal is conveniently accomplished.
