    • A method and apparatus for packing wheel bearings with grease. A frame is provided for supporting an axle assembly comprising an axle shaft with a wheel mounted on a wheel bearing at each end. A horizontally mounted ram and cylinder is mounted adjacent each wheel. Each ram has a greasing head at its distal end and each head has a nose portion adapted to pivot relative to a body portion. Each nose portion has an open-mouthed greasing chamber. Each ram is advanced toward each wheel so that each open-mouthed greasing chamber is in communication with a wheel bearing. Pressurized grease is delivered to a greasing chamber and, therefor, to a bearing.

    • A fluid container draining device (10) for use in draining a fluid container, such as an oil filter (12) in a controlled manner. It has a drill bit (14) with a sharpened tip (16) and exterior channels (20) on its shaft (18) extending from its tip (16) to a rear region (22). The drill bit (14) is immobilized in an axial bore (3) of a drill bit holder (24) which has a threaded front region (26) which is preferably frustum-shaped. Located rearwardly of the drill bit holder (24) is a valve (42) which when opened up permits fluid to be drained from the fluid container (12) through the channels (20) on the drill bit's shank (18), through the axial bore (30) in the drill bit holder (24), and out through the valve (42).

    • An oil drain valve comprises a base and a control part. The base is fixedly attached to a drain hole at the bottom of the oil container. The base at the interior is a hollow chamber to communicate with the oil container and a guide opening is provided at the lateral wall of the base to communicate with the hollow chamber. The control part at the interior thereof has a communication chamber communicates with the hollow chamber and the lateral side thereof has an outlet connects with the communication chamber. The base at the lateral wall thereof has a guide groove and receiver grooves with a resilient piece being received in each receiver groove. A ball is disposed on the respective resilient piece to be biased against the guide groove so that the control part can fit with the base pivotally to block the guide opening. As soon as the control part is turned to allow the guide opening in a state of communicating with the outlet, the oil in the oil container can be drained away through the outlet or the guide opening.

    • An apparatus for retrofitting a vehicle for removing spent oil from an oil pan reservoir installed in an access aperture located in a floor bottom of the oil pan reservoir. The device includes a low profile quick connect nipple having a first end threadably sealing into the access aperture and a second end releasably engagable with a mating fitting positioned on an externally located fluid delivery device and further having a fluid tight closure when the second end is disengaged from the fluid delivery device. The apparatus has a center throughbore having a movable member therein. The movable member includes a stem and a circular flared portion. A retainer clip is securely attached to an upper end of the stem. A ring configuration has a center through aperture for receiving the stem and radial connections extending to the periphery of the throughbore. The ring configuration centers the stem and defines a stop for the movable member when the retainer clip contacts the ring configuration.

    • An automatic lubricant dispenser has a lower housing part formed with an outlet, a piston displaceable along an axis in the lower part and forming therein a compartment, a spindle extending along the axis, threaded into the piston, having an upper end above the piston provided with a lower coupling half, and a body of fluent lubricant filling the compartment. An erasable nonvolatile memory in the upper housing part is associated with a reset switch for clearing the nonvolatile memory and with electrically powered controller. This controller is also connected to the sensor means and nonvolatile memory for periodically energizing the motor, for storing in the nonvolatile memory information about elapsed time since last energization of the motor and the number of outputs emitted by the sensor means, and for reading the information stored in the memory.

The at least one valve opening member opens the valve, allowing the fluid to flow downstream from the reservoir, through the path of fluid communication and to the opening to the surface to be lubricated. A method of lubricating the surface is also disclosed.
