    • A door lock apparatus includes a casing having a lock mechanism disposed therein, an actuating mechanism disposed on the casing to actuate the lock mechanism, and a protective member covering the actuating mechanism. The apparatus is provided with pins for retaining the actuating mechanism on the casing, and engagement portions are provided on the pins and the casing, respectively. The protective member is provided with retaining portions which are engageable with the engagement portions, respectively, so that the engagement portions and the retaining portions are fitted with each other to rigidly secure the protective member to the casing. Accordingly it is possible to mount the protective member firmly and easily. Since the protective member can be molded from a resin material, it is possible to lower the production cost and reduce the overall weight of the product. In addition, since there is no need for special means such as rivets, it is possible to mount the protective member at a reduced cost.

    • A tubular lockset which includes a backset plate and a drive linkage, both of which are integrated within the rear portion of a latch case. The surface of the backset plate and drive linkage are set with slots and openings for the mounting of drive unit at the fore or rear position within the slots. Two protrusions are provided on one end of the drive linkage, such that the foot of the drive unit engages with the protrusion of the drive linkage and drives the latch case forward and backward. An opening is provided on the drive linkage and slot is provided on each backset plate for the fixation of the drive unit, i.e. the drive unit is fixed within the slot of the backset plate and the opening of drive linkage. The backset length of the amphi-latch can be adjusted to either 60 mm (23/8") or 70 mm (23/4").

    • An actuator assembly in which the actuator is usually the rotatable barrel of a key operated tumbler lock. The actuator assembly is connectable through a non-circular drive spindle to any conventional deadbolt assembly of the kind having a tubular housing securable to support, a lever rotatably mounted on the housing and a deadbolt slidably mounted within the housing and responsive to rotation of the lever. A body member of the actuator assembly is securable to the support separate from the deadbolt housing and the lock barrel is rotatable relative to that body member. A gear segment secured to the barrel for rotation therewith is engageable with another gear segment rotatably carried on the body member, but only during part of its possible 360.degree. movement from the rest or locked position of the barrel. The other or driven gear segment has a drive spindle secured to it and that spindle engages within a bore of the bolt assembly lever to transmit rotation of the driven gear segment of the lever.
