摘要： The invention provides a modular post system including a plurality of modular post members 10, 20 which are inter-connectable to form a post structure 30. The modular post members include a plurality of front post members 10 and rear post members 20, which are generally elongate and are designed to be positioned and interconnected adjacent one another such that each of the front and rear modular post members extends in the same general direction and has a region of lap with an adjacent one of the post members. Each of the modular post members is adapted to interconnect with an adjacent post member in the lap region, each modular post member including connection means comprising a connecting element 12, 22 adapted for engagement with a complementary connecting element 22, 12 at the corresponding lap region of an adjacent post member. The engagement of the connecting elements may be by sliding insertion of a male connecting element 12 of a front post member 10 into the complementary female connecting element 22 of a rear post member in a direction substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the post members The invention also provides a modular wall assembly 50, which includes a plurality of modular post members 10, 20 which are inter-connectable to form a plurality of separate post structures 30 according to the modular post system of the invention; and a plurality of modular wall panels 40 attachable to the post structures and adapted to span a spacing between the separate post structures.

摘要： A pneumatic/hydraulic wave generator is associated with the deep end of a swimming pool and includes a pneumatic system with a pair of inner caissons and a pair of outer caissons. The caissons communicate with the swimming pool through a submerged passage. A pneumatic system includes a motor-driven fan which communicates selectively with duct lines to the caissons through a pair of two-position air directional valve assemblies. When the caissons are actuated with pressurized air from the fan, the water levels therein are driven down, creating waves in the swimming pool.

The invention further provides to this end a reservoir of the type referred to above which displays the feature that the upright wall consists of a number of vertical piles placed in a closed configuration at intervals from one another, a vertical wire mesh arranged between these piles and a bottom element extending on the bottom, on which element an upright wall part is formed or arranged resting against the inner side of the said wire mesh.

摘要： A steady state swimming pool heat exchanger designed to warm the water in swimming pools by the conducting of heat from the constant heat reservoir of the earth into the water in the pool through a heat-conducting rod sunk vertically into the earth beneath the pool. Attached to the rod is a contact plate, mounted on the floor of the pool, which transfers heat energy from the rod to the water. In temperate climates, the earth maintains a constant level of heat of 65 to 70 degrees at a depth of approximately 10 meters. The contact between the earth and the water in the pool provides a steady state transfer of heat to warm the water when the water temperature is below that of the earth reservoir. A non-conducting cover is provided to restrict the heat flux when heating or cooling of the water is not desired.

The cover driving section includes a cable reel which includes a pair of adjacent sections, to each of which one end of a cable is connected, with the opposite end of such cable connected to the cover leading edge, for enabling efficient extension of the pool cover. A pair of tracks are mounted directly in the sides of the pool, through which tracks the sides of the pool cover extend, and a pair of sliders are directly connected and secured to the cover leading edge, to provide support and guidance for the cover during extension and retraction thereof.

As well, the PVC snap-cap can be provided with a built-in bead cover and/or bead retainer. Using appropriate tooling, the aluminum sub-coping of the present invention can be shaped to permit it to be installed on curved shaped pools.
