摘要： A primary support for a tunnel roof comprising elongated lagging members which are nullextrudednull from tubes forming a shield for a tunnel boring machine. The lagging is inserted into the tubes at different times so as to avoid having the ends of adjacent lagging members coincide. As the tunneling machine progresses in the direction of boring, the lagging members emerge from the shield tubes to form a primary tunnel roof lining. Ring beams or arc beams may be installed as required by means of rock bolts or other fastening means.

A debris collection bucket locatable in an open chamber, both of which having water passageways extending therethrough is disclosed. The bucket is movable between the open chamber and a debris dumping area. Gate means is provided which cooperates with the bucket. The gate is moveable between a gate open position permitting debris to enter the debris collection area, and a gate closed position impeding entry of debris when the bucket proceeds to dump collected debris. A primary boom which extends centrally and longitudinally of the vessel is pivotally connected to both the vessel and the bucket. The boom is telescopically and vertically movable between the debris collection area and the debris dumping area which can extend centrally along a substantial length of the vessel.

摘要： A canal-restoration system and method has a processor tank (1) that includes a screen (5) vertically above a soil accumulator (6) and vertically below a water collector (4) near a top portion of the processor tank. Waterway sludge pumped from canals is conveyed downward in a sludge inlet (7) onto a disperser (14) and into the soil accumulator. Below the sludge inlet, soil (15) in the waterway sludge settles downwardly for dump or conveyance removal. Also, below the sludge inlet, settled water (16) circulates upwardly through the screen to the water collector at a top portion of the processor tank for conveyance back to the canals as screened-clear water (17). The screen preferably has upwardly progressive fineness of a plurality of three or more screens. A downward settling action keeps the screen unclogged and easily cleaned.
